Pull off the snorkerl & replace with a KN cone pod, part # RC-1250, cut off 1/3 or 1/2 of the white spacer, drill 6 holes into the rear of my stock exhaust, and start with a 150 main jet (I live in Colorado at 4200 feet, no oxygen). Should I change the pilot jet? Any thoughts? Thanks, ks Oh yeah, and I was wondering, anyone mount the carb sideways to make it easier to tinker with? I was thinking about doing this... seems to me you just need to find a way to get at the choke & throttle... |

Title: Re: What I'm gonna do... Post by hellstorm on 05/25/05 at 10:11:43 I made a custom intake manifold so the pod filter is to the right side of the bike, that way you don't have to mess with the throttle linkage. Will get some photos as soon as it gets back from powdercoating. Brian |

Title: Re: What I'm gonna do... Post by slavy on 05/26/05 at 06:55:09 Should I change the pilot jet? I'd say -NO. The pilot jet controls idle and up to 1/8 of a trottle. In this range the air filter doesn't matter. The kind of air filter matters at mid range and at full trottle. |
