Hey guys, Just wanted to let you know I am aware there are some issues with Rubber Side Down (where are all the old threads?!) and some people's post counts and avatars. I have a message out to JohnH and will let you know what I learn.

You might as well admit you did it, no one will believe your denials. Whatcha do? Try renaming the Rubber Side Down?

Remember the old TV show "Charlie's Angels"? My original login "Savage_Rob" is still hosed too. I can't login to it and it doesn't email me the password even though it says it does. If you look at it on any existing posts it has no hyperlink to the profile, all the email and IM info is gone and it's been reverted to YaBB_n00b. Pretty odd. It's no big deal though. If they can't fix that, maybe they can simply tag my former posts with this login or just delete the old one.

Well John's making progress! The topics are back. I've asked him to check into the name and post count issues for Savage_Rob and Mr_650. Anyone else having an issue?

I've also noticed that on some of the threads the names on the summary page don't match up with who actually started the topic so I've asked John to look at that too.

Anything else?

Oh, and I don't know why it happened yet but I've asked.

We're getting there!

I'd like to consolidate any further issues/comments in the technical difficulties topic at the top of the page. Please comment in there if there are any continuing technical issues.

The one I know of at the moment is that there is still something weird going on with the topic author attribution. The person who shows up on the summary page as the topic author is not always actually the author. John is working on it...

Some threads don't show the multiple pages they have. For instance, the "Ressurecting an 87 LS650PH" topic. Go to it and try to leave a reply. At least when I try, it appears to have a single page when I swear it had more. Further, when I try to leave any posts, they appear to take but they don't display. It's as if they are being appended to page 2 or 3 or whatever but only page 1 is visible.

A big thank you for your patience in today's 'issues'.

I believe I have addressed and fixed all the reported issues.

As for what happened:

We ran out of disk space and I assume that some of you were right in the middle of posting when this happened. As a result several files were truncated which appeared as a loss of data. I have spent the last few hours rebuilding the files and hopefully getting back to normal.

We have plenty of disk space now! ;-)

a big THANK YOU for keeping this wonderful site alive...

even though I will hrdly ever have the chance to be close to you, I'd like to share my last weekend's experience:
It was a long weekend (3 days off in a row, Monday was a religious holiday here in Chile) 8) , so we headed for the beach :) came back home yesterday afternoon, and since it was mild (for fall patterns) took a 1 1/2 hour ride... 8) you know what? during the whole weekend I had a great time, but something was missing.... ??? it was a long time way from the site!!!! :o came back in today to the office and started reading.... not even coffee could wake me up this fast!!!! ::)

Glitches happen, just a part of modern life. And people wonder why I'm anti-computer other than the vehicle forums and Yahoo's Mah-jong solitaire pages...
