Title: Valve clearance - what's with Clymer Post by russ_g on 05/09/05 at 13:38:42 Clymer doesn't give any measurements for the valve adjustment/tuning. Anyone know what it should be? |

You'r absolutely right. Suzuki WSM says the same. Better be in the .004 to .005 range. And don't forget to adjust the decompression cable slack at the same time. Greetz Kropatchek ;D |

Title: Re: Valve clearance - what's with Clymer Post by russ_g on 05/10/05 at 09:15:21 Thanks all. For curiosity - does the Clymer print this somewhere else in the manual that i've missed. I was just following through the valve procedure in the manual and it didn't give the measurement there - so just wondering if it's in one of their "tables" or something. |

Title: Re: Valve clearance - what's with Clymer Post by Savage_Rob on 05/10/05 at 09:47:47 I know I've seen it but it may have been in the owner's manual. I have to believe it's in the Clymer's somewhere though. Now I'm interested and will need to look it up at home later. |

You'r right. Clymer has the "figures" at the back of the chapter in the tables. Greetz Kropatchek ;D |
