Title: Dumb Blonde Question from a Redhead
Post by RadarORiley on 05/09/05 at 10:39:43

Is the Right passenger footpeg at a slight upward angle or am I crazy? Grand-daughter is complaining about a cramp in right leg when we ride very far. Looked at both bikes yesterday and I'd swear the right peg angles upon both bikes. Is there a way to fix this?

What's safer: a redhead or a piranha?
The piranha. They only attack in schools.

How do you get a redhead's mood to change?
Wait 10 seconds

What do you call a Redhead with an attitude?
Normal

Only two things are necessary to keep a redhead happy.
One is to let her think she is having her own way,
and the other is to let her have it.

;D
But seriosly, I think that the passenger seat on the savage isnt the most comfortable place in the world. Hell, the drivers seat isnt comfortable why would the passenger seat be any different. I, myself have been riding solo with my a** on the bi*ch pad so I can stretch out my legs.  I have heard about people exenting the passenger pegs down with bolt on extenders but I have never tried them.  If you are doing a ton of 2-up driving, this just isnt the most comfortable bike to be doing it on.

It's an optical delusion.  ;D

Just kidding, it IS (slightly) different in order to clear the exhaust while the rear suspension is under compression travel. If you have the stock exhaust, there is NO safe way to modify the peg position.

Savage is a good solo machine. An okay little kid on the back machine. A terrible for over 4' tall passenger machine.

You've been talking to my husband, I see.

I think I'll post the last one on the refrigerator door!

Thanks, we were trying to figure out a way to correct it.Don't want to do anything that might not be safe. This Grand-daughter is already over 5'3", she rides behind her Mother when we go. I guess we'll have to take more breaks so she can stretch her legs. She's not old enough for her own bike and she's already hooked on going. We pick her up after school and that's major cool.

My wife is 5'6"ish. She rode the pillion pad once. And threatened me with great bodily harmif she ever had to again.

Your idea of extra "stretch stops" should help.
