Post by gandalph40 on 04/28/05 at 10:57:49

Hey!  I know there are some forumites living close by.  Let's get together for a ride!  Maybe we could do something organized for the June 12th "Mountain" ride...like maybe ride to Mt. Cheaha and take some pics...Let's get something going!  Soon!

You know about the new Barber Motorsports track just outside Birmingham?  GREAT road course.  Just had the Superbike championships there.  (Mike Mladin won it all and Suzuki 1000's swept the top 3 in one race).  When you head this way, give me some warning and we'll try to hook-up!

I have been wanting to check out the Barber museum.
They have cars and bikes there, I saw some of it on Speed channel.

You guys (and ladies) come on down!  The museum at Barber Motorsports is worth the price of admission, for sure!

(BTW, it ain't Memphis, but I think there may be a beer or two around here too...)

OK...Saturday, June 12th is out for me.  I have to be in the Big Easy that day and won't be back until late that night at the earliest and maybe not until Sunday.  My 18 yr old is playing in a jazz band down there that week and Saturday is their last gig, so I'm going down to hear them.  Heck, maybe I'll take the bike...hmmm...let me think about that.

I STILL want to ride up to Mt. Cheaha though.  I'm going to organize something locally.  I'll post the details when they're done and anyone that wants to is welcome to come along.
