Title: Oil level
Post by airframer509 on 04/15/05 at 17:07:31

Quick question,

I just changed the oil in my 95 Savage, do you read the oil level with the bike on the kickstand or upright and level.  I understand the level should fall between the two holes in the upper half of the window.

And, what happens if you pour so much (oopsie! :-[ ) that  there's barely a bubble at the top of the oil window?

Even if the oil is to the top of the window when the bike is straight up- no problem at all. Just don't  check the oil when the bike is on the sidestand.

Thanks! The bike was straight when checking and when filling. I've been riding and all is well. :D
