Title: Fork oil refill Post by David Necochea on 08/04/26 at 18:05:32 I have a 2013 S40. I had a fork oil leak on left fork. I slid pop bottle along the seal to get any grit out. I don’t see any leak but not sure if fork is empty. Any tips on how to refill fork with whatever amount of oil might be missing to bring up oil level to specs. Thanks [ch128591][ch127996]

Title: Re: Fork oil refill Post by Dave on 08/05/26 at 03:36:39 Buy a Clymer manual and it will show you how to do maintenance, and how much oil should be in each fork leg. If you want to check the fork level, support the bike and remove both fork caps (with the fork caps removed the bike will not have any spring support and drop if not supported).  Remove the springs and check the level of the oil in each fork leg......add fork oil until the level in the leaky fork leg matches the oil level of the other fork.  You can use Automatic Transmission Fluid if you don't want to buy a bottle of fork oil for a few ounces of oil.
