Title: Finally Post by MnSpring on 06/19/26 at 10:27:06 Finally, someone WOKE UP and are Teaching the TRUTH !!! NOT LYING "What we are not going to allow is these radical teachers' unions to push lies in the classroom. That's not how we're going to teach." "Oklahoma’s 2025 school-year curriculum will look markedly different after major adjustments are made to eschew "woke garbage" while making sure students learn all aspects of complex figures like Thomas Jefferson and Donald Trump, and issues like the BLM and Capitol riots" "We are driving out this woke indoctrination and woke nonsense that has been injected into the classroom by undermining Republican presidents and American exceptionalism," " a student stating that the only thing they knew about Thomas Jefferson was that he was a slaveholder, and did not know he was a president or the primary author of the Declaration of Independence" "And so we will drive these lies out of the classrooms and get back to an understanding of American greatness throughout our history," "It is not debatable. Rights were taken from individuals during COVID. That's not debatable. It's also not debatable that lockdowns hurt kids" "Lockdowns hurt families and businesses," |

Title: Re: Finally Post by Eegore on 06/19/26 at 10:58:35 It is not debatable. Rights were taken from individuals during COVID. That's not debatable. I think it is. People think they have a lot of "rights" that are nothing more than basic privilege. They also consider the Constitutionally sound action of restriction to be equal to "taken away", no different than MnSpring insisting that if we can't carry a gun, we have our right to defend ourselves "removed" - which is obviously not true. Like if I don't carry a gun I can't punch someone. If a man tries to rape a woman in a gun-free zone she has to let him because her right to defend herself was "removed"? All gun restriction does is remove my ability to use a gun to defend myself. It does not violate my rights. Remember when JoG insisted no laws existed in TX regarding public quarantine and there were literally 3 specific to quarantine that had been there for over 50 years. Those laws restricted things like public assembly, which is Constitutional, because restricting rights for the public good - like not allowing inmates in prison to own guns - has always been practical application. Now that doesn't mean all the restrictions were correct, or that I agree with them. I just don't cry "my rights were taken!!" every time I disagree with something. |

Or the, (Hands Up) LIE is used !!!!! Your right to defend yourself has not been removed. You can defend yourself. People in bars have defended themselves for hundreds of years with gun restrictions in place. The argument that a no-gun zone "removes" or has "taken away" your right to defend yourself is not true, it is a poor, and amateur, complaint for a real problem. Statements like that only reduce the chances of succeeding in retaining real gun ownership rights. I do not think you truly believe if a woman does not carry a gun, she has had the right to defend herself removed and must either let a man assault her, or be prosecuted for trying to stop him by using something other than a gun. |

You can defend yourself, with out a gun, when a DFI is SHOOTING AT YOU !!!!! Exactly. So insisting that gun-free zones "removes" your right to defend yourself is wrong. It is untruthful and completely pointless to even say. |

Title: Re: Finally Post by Serowbot on 06/19/26 at 14:06:26 Gun free zones are there to allow law enforcement to assume any gun is a threat in that area In highly populated areas, a bunch of gun toters would be too much danger for them to cover safely This gives them assurance that legal attendees will abide by these rules and respect the law and they can protect safely You can't take your UZI on a plane Duhhhhhhhh :-? |

Title: Re: Finally Post by Eegore on 06/19/26 at 16:00:47 In highly populated areas, a bunch of gun toters would be too much danger for them to cover safely This is not necessarily true. It has been my experience that LEO prefer armed citizens at major events as it reduces the chance of a mass-shooting. I've personally done thousands of active shooter exercises for agencies worldwide over the past 2 decades, I've commented on these before, and can reliably say no-gun zones are no safer. The perception that if one criminal is actively shooting, LEO will have to draw down on every human there with a gun is fundamentally flawed. Perpetrators and victims of crime have distinct behavioral variances. It's not perfect by any means, violence is very messy, but the idea that LEO can't tell who is a criminal so everyone can get shot literally applies to every single gathering. |

Title: Re: Finally Post by MnSpring on 06/19/26 at 21:42:24 A Opinion, Which has been Aired. "... The Obama Presidential Center is a disaster. The project honoring one couple cost $850 million to build – the most expensive presidential center ever constructed, and it isn't close. While the buildings and exhibits were financed through private donations, Illinois taxpayers have spent approximately $123.3 million on infrastructure (road re-configurations, utility relocations), with that figure expected to approach $200 million by completion. Nearby residents say construction drove rents up 43% and pushed home prices higher. The Obama Foundation, which had hoped to establish a $470 million endowment, currently holds only about $1 million in endowment funding. The project has also been a nightmare for local workers and subcontractors who say they're still owed money, the opposite of the economic boost they were promised. Mike Owen, owner of Adamson Plumbing, says he is owed almost $4 million after years on the job. "That is a hole that no subcontractor, small business can survive," Omar Shareef, president of the African American Contractors Association, says his contractors are owed money and feel silenced by nondisclosure agreements they signed. "I've never seen this happen since I've been in business," Shareef told Fox News Digital. "The building does look nice, but the fact doesn't matter that they're not paying our darn contractors." The Obamas left the White House in 2017, nearly a decade ago, yet they can't seem to resist the spotlight. Former fist lady Michelle Obama has written multiple books and made regular appearances on podcasts and talk shows. In a recent interview on "Good Morning America," Barack Obama said that when it comes to public policy debates, he has transitioned from "player" to "coach." If by "player" he means building a nearly $1 billion shrine to his own presidency, sure – that's one way to stay relevant. But the legacy he's enshrining deserves scrutiny. The Affordable Care Act (ACA), his signature achievement, drove health care premiums, deductibles and out-of-pocket costs sharply higher for millions of Americans – hardly the transformation he promised. If the Obamas' accomplishments were truly memorable, they wouldn't need a hideous $850 million building, one that stiffed contractors and billed taxpayers, to prove it. The Presidential Center is the perfect monument to Obama's presidency itself: a grand gesture, lavishly executed, that promised transformation and delivered disappointment. ..." |
