Title: Re: Cryin' Wolf Post by Needles on 06/11/26 at 13:42:10 There's no telling what Trumpedo, the Lyin' "King" hallucinates while he's in the throes of sundowners. As a nurse for 25 years, I've seen the pattern many, many times. Lack of sleep, and hallucinations are the dead giveaways. They really should take away his phone. The next thing you know, he'll be calling 911 because he's being held prisoner... (Police forces all across the US know not to respond to 911 calls from hospitals for kidnapping. It happens all the time.) |

Title: Re: Cryin' Wolf Post by Eegore on 06/11/26 at 16:30:53 a nurse for 25 years? how old are you? If someone became a nurse at age 25, they would be 50 years old after being an RN for 25 years. |

Title: Re: Cryin' Wolf Post by Needles on 06/12/26 at 04:59:09 I am 70. Generation "Jones", now that they've decided the Boomers didn't last as long as they thought. Raised on a cotton farm in Tennessee by sharecropper. Motorcycle crash at age 14 that left me with permanent physical problems with my left arm & shoulder. Voc Rehab helped pay for 1 year of college when I was kicked out of the house at age 17. I worked my way through college in the '70s, which took until the '80s. I washed dishes for abut a year, then worked for Motorola for 10 years, the last several years contracted to the Feds (Technically, U.S. Customs, but the actual agency was not important, since Customs owns the Secure Comm part of the civilian government, so I've worked with DEA, FBI, BATF, U.S. Marshalls, Capitol Police, WH Comms, etc.) HATED living in the DC area (Under Bush, Sr.) so I asked for a transfer. I had advanced so far in the Secure Comm area that there was no where else for me to transfer to. I signed a lot of NDA type legal stuff and went back to school. Couldn't work in radio for the next 20 years. I became an RN, and worked another 25 years, mostly in Oncology, plus 3 years in Cardiology, with the last 10 as Administrative Supervisor on the weekends for a Level 1 Trauma Center. That was all night shifts. Along the way I went back to school and got my Masters in Chinese Medicine. I retired, due to sciatica, in January, 2020. I've done some freelancing, published in Karate Illustrated, Black Belt, Field and Stream, Outdoor Life, and DanceMagazine, to drop some old names. I'm old enough to have watched the gradual errosion of democracy the Republicans engineered into the laws that got us to today's circus act government. I watched it evolve, experienced all the hardships the GOP has sluffed onto the "middle" class. None of these MAGAT clowns have any inkling what they claim to be talking about. Trumpedo is a Nazi. Nazis were notorious pedos. The new Nazis are apparently pedos, too. |

Title: Re: Cryin' Wolf Post by Eegore on 06/12/26 at 07:32:28 When you were published in Karate Illustrated and BB magazine, was that because you trained in a martial art? If so, which one? |

Title: Re: Cryin' Wolf Post by Needles on 06/12/26 at 08:31:16 I got my 2nd degree Black belt in 1979, in Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwan Do after 6 years of classes and training. I taught some after that, mostly to pay for my own lessons. I worked out at a kickboxing gym some years later, until I injured my back, then took up Pak style BaGuaZhang lessons after that. I still do the BaGua since it strengthens and sretches the back. BaGua is more like Tai Chi--- it's really a Way involving moving meditation rather than an Art. I occasionally do the Chung Do Kwan forms, though I can no longer kick like I once could. I was a "loose stringer" for KI and BB, since they were both really the same editorial staff. Freelance, but they'd usually take my articles. I did some interviews, some how-to articles, and some crossover pieces showing dance exercises. I took 3 years of ballet in my late 20s, not because I wanted to dance, but because of the leg workouts. That was actually suggested to me by Bill "Superfoot" Wallace. I took a few of his seminars. he was one of the few people who encouraged me despite the impairment of my left arm. (He had whole matches where he didn't use his arms at all!) |

Title: Re: Cryin' Wolf Post by Needles on 06/12/26 at 14:09:26 Oh, so you've been brainwashed by the capitalists, who are DOING everything they warned you the socialists would do. Oh, well. That's part of the "cultural differences" between Boomers, born '45-'54/'55, who were subjected to the McCarthy BS and bought it, and the now recognized "Jones" gen- '55-'66, who were the '70s kids like me. What you don't see is that socialism, especially democratic socialism was working for many countries before the US sabotaged their economies. Anyway, OL and F&S were mostly "shorts". I'd send them 20 pages of tips & tricks, or short local news releases, or jokes, and they'd print some and pay me for what they wanted. I also did a few articles for Rifle Magazine--- one about bluing a gun barrel with bacon grease. THAT was passed down to me by my grandpa, who was the only bootlegger I ever knew to convert a boiler heating system into a still and could make a batch of 'shine and still heat the house... |
