Title: Measles Post by MnSpring on 05/07/26 at 07:19:18 Any Ideas ? On why such a fast outbreak has occurred in the US. (When it was practically gone) Here is a Map (Many available and mostly similar) https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftse2.mm.bing.net%2Fth%2Fid%2FOIP.2W8ORhKE-3SxFo8O-aDNIgHaD3%3Fpid%3DApi&f=1&ipt=eb1c5096e950d00d7a09e299d75cda03770b73c37f612da3a47edc5a216ddf20&ipo=images I believe the DFI, FDS, WOKE, Socialists will have a idea. And people that do not have TDS, will look at the map, and come to a completely different conclusion. |

Title: Re: Measles Post by Eegore on 05/07/26 at 11:50:13 That map, and similar ones, are really off the mark. For comparison: https://www.arcgis.com/apps/dashboards/dd314001921f4d2eac160f89ded0b49a My idea is that there is an influx of infected humans coming into the US, and also an increase in humans already in the US refusing to administer a proven effective vaccine. |

Title: Re: Measles Post by Eegore on 05/07/26 at 16:38:01 Which came first, Infected people coming onto this Country. Or Citizens, no longer taking a vaccine for a illness which was practically gone. Infected people coming into this country. The first confirmed cases are in 1713 from European immigrants that created the American Colonies. Since no vaccine existed, the disease obviously was introduced first. Can give your opinion which came first ? Introduction of a disease will always precede the spread of infection to unvaccinated. However the lack of pre-infection vaccination comes before introduction of disease. The latest traceback locally, to me, provides data of a family returning from a vacation in Africa with two unvaccinated children. Geographically they brought the disease into the US, but this happened because they chose not to vaccinate their children. So what came first? The lack of vaccination or the introduction of disease? To me, in this case the lack of vaccination came first for the primary infected cases. Then the introduction of disease came second, which caused the "spread" of the disease because humans had not been vaccinated years prior. |

Should have have been more specific. Starting at the time: From the CDC: "...The United States has maintained measles elimination status for over 20 years. ..." Which was the year 2000 + To the rapid and tremendous rise of 2024/5 "...Outbreaks in the U.S. happen when one of these measles cases finds a group of unvaccinated children and keeps spreading...." "... By 2000, measles cases decreased by 90% and were virtually eliminated in the U.S. This means that cases seen in the U.S. after 2000 were more likely due to travel than being exposed to the virus in the U.S...." "... the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a Health Advisory warning of an increase in both global and U.S. measles cases. There were 132 confirmed cases in the U.S. from January 1 to May 9, which emerged as a result of eight outbreaks compared to a mere 58 cases in total in 2023. ..." "...In 2017, a 75-case outbreak occurred in Minnesota and affected mainly Somalian Americans living in Minneapolis. ..." "... In January 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced “vaccine hesitancy” to be one of the top ten global health threats ..." (Notice the words, """global health threats""") Not the US Who was flooding in to many Countries at that time ? My Opinion is: Not the fault of people that chose to NOT take a vaccine for a illness which they have been told is "... maintained measles elimination status for over 20 years...." (Like putting your arm out the window of a car, and putting your hand UP/Down/Straight, to signal a person you are turning or breaking. Which NO ONE does anymore) Perhaps, Biden should have required the vaccine, unless the person coming in to the US could show their VAX papers. I believe it is the FLOOD of NOT-VETTED, humans who are SNEAKING into this, and other Nations. OH, Forgot !!! Need to thank the, TDS affected, UL, FDS, WOKE, DFI Socialists, for Allowing, Encouraging, and looking the other way ! |

Title: Re: Measles Post by WebsterMark on 05/08/26 at 07:28:08 The logical reason for recent measles is a combination of unvaccinated immigrants and unvaccinated citizens. I don’t know if legal immigrants are required to show measles vaccination. I don’t know the answer, but I assume children in the US are still required to get the measles vaccine but I don’t know for sure. But certainly another reason to clamp down on illegal immigration in the form of Biden‘s open borders is the potential for contagious diseases. If I had a child right now, I would absolutely have them get the measles vaccine. I’m not anti-VAX by any means, but I would not get another Covid vaccine anytime soon. I did the first time around because I was a recent cancer survivor and was still unsure of my health situation. As a healthy adult, the odds of Covid affecting me significantly seem to me to be far less than the vaccine’s side effect. |

It is a combination, but if you like Trump then mathematical values of herd immunity doesn't apply because it is "illegal immigrants" that introduce disease. If you like Biden it is lack of vaccines and only one in a million billion trillion immigrants have a contagious disease. It definitely can't be both though. |

Title: Re: Measles Post by Eegore on 05/08/26 at 13:29:33 Getting a visa/go to another Country. Is up to the Place you want to go. Not the place you came from. Ok. So should there be a vaccination requirement to leave the country? Unvaccinated US citizens can, and do, contract measles and bring it into the US. Yes at a lower volume than immigrants in general, but the question asked is should US citizens be required to have a measles vaccination to leave the US? How do we prevent US citizens from introducing measles back into the US? |

The same way it was done, from 2000 to 2024. According to the CDC: "...The United States has maintained measles elimination status for over 20 years. ..." The, 'rate' that people left the US clean, then brought it back was small enough, to have the CDC say no problem. |

Title: Re: Measles Post by Eegore on 05/08/26 at 21:32:31 The same way it was done, from 2000 to 2024. According to the CDC: "...The United States has maintained measles elimination status for over 20 years. ..." The, 'rate' that people left the US clean, then brought it back was small enough, to have the CDC say no problem. Interesting that the CDC can be trusted now. The reason they say that is because of the high vaccination rates in the US. But when people stopped vaccinating - measles spread came back. So using your logic that we manage measles infections "the same way" which is by mass vaccinations, then the answer to your question to "What came first?" is US citizens not getting vaccines. Lowered vaccination rates makes the population more susceptible to infection from immigrants and also US citizens that bring it back to the country. So should there be a vaccination requirement to leave the country? |
