Title: NY Post by MnSpring on 01/30/26 at 17:17:57 NEADEALS "... NYC poised to force landlords to sell private property to non-profits to ensure 'affordable housing'..." "... The act dictates that landlords must first tip off the government entities and nonprofits that qualify, and “may not take any action that will result in the sale of such covered property to a person other than” those entities..." "... will force private building owners to offer up their property to nonprofits and government entities before they make any private sale, ..." "... The act forces landlords to offer their property to the city as well as nonprofits before the building can be sold on the public market. " ... however, is not the end of the red tape. If there is an offer from the private market submitted after a building owner refused an offer from a nonprofit, the owner must then inform the nonprofit so that the nonprofit can offer a matching price on identical terms of the private offer and has 15 days to do so. ..." (Above is a reprint of what is happening) (Below is a question, and a opinion) What would you call what he is doing ? I would call it 'full blown', COMMUNISM |

Title: Re: NY Post by Eegore on 01/30/26 at 20:36:50 This took about 6 years to finally pass. My opinion is this took about 6 years to pass. The initial proposals were much more broad in my opinion. NYC poised to force landlords to sell private property to non-profits to ensure 'affordable housing Misleading. They can keep their private property. This is an opinion. The act dictates that landlords must first tip off the government entities and nonprofits that qualify, and “may not take any action that will result in the sale of such covered property to a person other than” those entities Antagonistic language without context. This is an opinion. COPA does not require below market sale pricing and "covered property" is almost exclusively properties that volunteer for State or Federal assistance or contain hazardous environment violations or a history of violations. Not entirely but mostly. The expansion of "future rulemaking" is a concern for property owners that have no assistance or violations however. will force private building owners to offer up their property to nonprofits and government entities before they make any private sale, ..." "... The act forces landlords to offer their property to the city as well as nonprofits before the building can be sold on the public market. " ... however, is not the end of the red tape. All means the same thing. This is an opinion. File for taxpayer assistance or need taxpayer funding to upgrade your property, you have to offer first chance to buy at market value to the public funded sector. Having been to actual Communist economies I would not call this "full blown" Communism. This is an opinion. I definitely see issues with the future rulemaking, and I would prefer only dwellings in violation be qualified and not mostly those dwellings. I also see how it can help mitigate issues like my associate whose property tax went up astronomically because an investment firm bought two properties next to him for millions of dollars. His home has a market value of 270,000, his taxes per-month are now higher than his mortgage ever was. So that's also a problem. |

Title: Re: NY Post by Needles on 01/31/26 at 06:38:02 Time to take the country back from the capitalist oligarchs. In a truly equality based government, rich people are no more important than their votes, just like poor people. It's over, 1%ers. Citizen does NOT equal peasant. What did you THINK was going to happen? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D |

Title: Re: NY Post by MnSpring on 02/02/26 at 06:00:45 Just the start ! (Above is a opinion) "... Mamdani calls for higher taxes on NYC's richest, says 'we need to disband' NYPD protest unit ..." (Above is a reprint, not a opinion) So, protesters can do ANYTHING THEY WANT, throwing rocks, burning buildings, stealing, blocking traffic, etc, etc, etc, etc, (Above is what WILL happen, buy disbanding the 'NYPD protest unit') |

Title: Re: NY Post by MnSpring on 02/05/26 at 05:45:10 " Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan signed his first executive order Monday, “formally prohibiting the use of City of Buffalo personnel or resources for federal civil immigration enforcement and reaffirming the City’s longstanding commitment to ensuring the safety, dignity, and legal protections of all residents, regardless of immigration status or country of origin.” Above is a reprint. Below is a question. Has the Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan, taken a page from Newsom and Timmy Tampon ? |

Title: Re: NY Post by MnSpring on 02/05/26 at 06:13:35 "...New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Saturday announced a new crop of commissioners who will be at the helm of some of the city's most vital departments. One of the appointments is making city history. Formerly incarcerated man to lead DOC Stanley Richards will become the first formerly incarcerated individual to serve as commissioner of the New York City Department of Correction. He was incarcerated back in the 1980s. "When we see what is best in all of us instead of judging people on the worst thing that they've ever done, we can achieve the unimaginable," Richards said. He previously served as first deputy commissioner of the DOC and executive vice president of The Fortune Society, a nonprofit that provides assistance to formerly incarcerated individuals...." Above is a reprint. Below is a question. Is a Fox in charge of the Hen house? |

Title: Re: NY Post by Needles on 02/05/26 at 14:29:36 The DOC is a major Trumpedo supporter because Trumpedo is going to let them "lease" "criminals" for "labor". (Slavery.) >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( |

Title: Re: NY Post by MnSpring on 02/06/26 at 08:02:47 "... NYC’s New Mayor Drives Discussions on American Socialism Among Loyola Students ..." (early American socialists like Eugene Debs) "... Debs was one of the founding members of the Socialist Party of America and ran for president five times. He argued socialism was the way to protect American’s democratic promise by publicly owning and expanding access to essential industries and services, according to Cantwell. ..." https://loyolaphoenix.com/2026/02/nycs-new-mayor-drives-discussions-on-american-socialism-among-loyola-students/ - - - - - - - - - - - Who in the future who is going to pay for all the Gimmie people.
