Title: FB
Post by MnSpring on 11/01/25 at 07:29:29

Don't go to FB a lot,
Yet found this.

Yet a admitted Socialist, will counter it !

"Woman says: "Hey, fun fact. If you depend on the government for food, you're giving them the ability to take the food away from you.

Yes, you are. It's socialism 101, okay? So let's do a little lesson here since you didn’t take civics class and you don’t know what socialism is. When you depend on the government for something, you’re giving them the ability to take it from you faster than they gave it to you. This is why socialism doesn't work.

This is why communism doesn’t work. This is why people end up poor and starving. I don’t know what level of entitlement you have to reach to think that your family is the taxpayer’s responsibility, but it’s your family.

You’ve got all this money for your hair, for your lashes, for your nails, but you can’t put food on the table? "But I’m a single mom." Yeah, no shocker there. Get a job. It’s not that hard. I know plenty of single moms who work and can still put food on the table and don't use government assistance. It’s not impossible.

If you’re able-bodied enough to get up and go steal food from Walmart, then you’re able-bodied enough to get up and get a job at Walmart instead.

If you’re able to get up and go steal a **** ton of food, you are able to get up and get a job.

"But it's just like really hard for me to like keep a job because — "

Still scared sh*tless of "Socialism", I see, even though you don't know what it is. That's OK. You don't know what Nazis are, either. Socialism, as applied to US government, is not taking anything away from YOU. Every year you pay less than $40 for ALL the social programs funded by taxes. Fascist capitalist subsidies, however, take thousands of tax dollars from you every year. You have accepted that the oligarchy cannot be overturned, so you support the fascists, hoping they'll throw you a bone. All you really change is WHO can take it away from you. It's either a government that can be unbiased, depending on the voters, or fascist oligarchs who ARE biased and don't care what you say, think, or do.

It doesn't really change the real problem: you're going to have to fund SNAP, or you're going to have to back higher minimum wages.

If you make $50,000 a year, and have zero deductions, the total you pay for ALL "socialist" programs, including trash, sewer, police, fire dept, gov't salaries, etc. is about $1500 a year. Most of that 1500 goes to pay towards the national debt (that the MAGATs have just about doubled) and the military. ALL social programs come in at about $38. If you have any deductions, you're not paying that much. You're just telling more MAGAT lies.

"Every year you pay less than $40 for ALL the social programs funded by taxes."

That can't possibly be true.  Basic grade-school math proves this wrong.   $848.2 billion for Medicare alone.  If 153.8 million US taxpayers (2023) paid $40 for ONLY Medicare they would have contributed a maximum of 6,152,000,000 a shortage of 836 Billion.

$67 Billion in direct spending and involved an estimated $10.5 billion in tax credit subsidies for Federal low income housing in 2023.  $40 won;t even come close to that.

Needles is obviously misrepresenting the $40 contributed to SNAP exclusively.  This is true, but the "ALL" is asinine and nobody is going to believe such poor math.

Means-tested welfare programs like SNAP, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Medicaid, low-income housing ONLY - as in not including military funding etc. cost an average of over $3,300 per person at the federal level in 2023.
