As for the location of the IV, it depends on the level of the person actually starting it; they don't care about the person being a public figure. For central vein access, anywhere on the torso, it has to be started by an MD. Peripheral access, anywhere on the limbs, requires an RN for the start--- or an EMT in the field, with some restrictions, like they can usually only start an IV on the hand or in the antecubital (bend of the arm). However, the most common "stick" is a simple blood draw, and lab techs can only use the same sites as EMTs. There, Egg. One source. I disagree. It's been a standard that the POTUS has any invasive/injection done "under clothing" since Kennedy. Agreed, however it is very uncommon for techs to work directly on a POTUS as there is an entire medical team assigned to them. It does happen, Obama had an EMT do a blood draw in CO once because the normal staff were being debriefed due to a hotel stay change. |

Was it smart for the majority of news outlets to ignore or at the very least downplay an obviously significantly diminished Biden? Ultimately,….no because it may have cost them (and by them I mean the team of media and Democrats) the election although it’s likely Trump would have won over Biden or even if Harris had been President for a couple months after Biden resigned. The point is you can’t say anything about Trump’s health. You’ve made it clear the health of The President isn’t open for discussion. If Trump’s public appearances drop off, if he rarely has cabinet meetings, if he stops doing these hour long, off-the-cuff press conferences, you can’t say a word. |
