Title: Heat wrap Post by zevenenergie on 05/05/25 at 11:00:44 My exhaust header chrome was already mediocre when I bought the bike. But now after the winter it has become really ugly and I can't get it to shine nicely anymore. I want to buy heat wrap. Does anyone know how many meters goes around the header. Is 5 meters enough? 5 meters is approximately 16.4 feet. Anyone? |

Title: Re: Heat wrap Post by SoC on 05/06/25 at 08:30:51 Wraps are a little controversial, because they also serve to retain more heat of the exhaust gas. If the discolored chrome is bothersome, it is relatively inexpensive to get the header ceramic coated, in my case I did black. It has been 3 years and there is no problem with it. I did already have a VooDoo slash cut muffler, so I replaced it with a black one to complete the look. |
Title: Re: Heat wrap Post by zevenenergie on 05/08/25 at 07:21:30 Tanks for sharing. That ceramic coating seems like a great solution, but I'm thinking about selling my bike and the heat wrap is popular here. It's only $10 on aliexpress and then you have 16 feet and that's more than enough because you only need 12 feet. I hope the titanium color looks good with my purple paint. |
