Title: So much winning
Post by ThumperPaul on 03/27/25 at 10:47:25

So much winning and greatness…

Illegal Immigration: 37,660 people were deported in Trump's first month in office, including both removals and returns, far less than the monthly average of 57,000 deportations under Biden in 2024.

Tariffs: Impact will hit wallets full force in 2nd quarter.  So much for lowering inflation. Let’s just make it worse.  Any jobs that might come from higher tariffs are years away if they materialize at all.

DOGE: Love the initiative, but the draconian recklessness way things are being done serves no one.  And over half the reported savings can’t be substantiated or rely on misinformation.

Signalgate: How many deflections and outright lies can they come up with?  Playing semantics - they weren’t “war plans”, they were just “top secret military plans”.  Mike Waltz should be fired.  What a dumbass.  Calls himself a "National Security Advisor”.  Pete Hegseth doesn’t even know what “classified information” is…  More semantics = "Not Classified" just "Sensitive".

I’ll mostly skip the Ukraine/Russia war.  But not sending a clear message to Putin Russia that they need to back off and restore Ukraine is just plain weak.  Instead of helping Ukraine at least negotiate from a position of strength or neutrality, we’ve left them to hang.

Failing on so many fronts.

We’re not all “Doug” here in Texas.

I see what a mess it is here in Europe at the government level and how the people suffer from it.
I see it in England too. But I also see it in China and actually all countries in the world.

I see the power shifts in the world and they have major consequences.
The world is facing a technical revolution that makes the industrial revolution pale in comparison,

I cannot properly judge how your new domestic policy will function in the future. It is still too early for that.

I do see that the power bloc that Russia, China and Iran have forged under Biden is also underestimated at a political level by the Trump administration.
It is simply not possible to force Russia to stop their war. You will have to come up with very attractive deals to change Russia's mind.
In an ideal world that would be easy but China represents a danger that is hopelessly underestimated by voters. Their Mafia is the secret branch of the CCCP, they will not shy away from any means to gather knowledge, to buy or blackmail people, or to take strategic positions of economic and military tin.

Doge would do well to also investigate bribed and blackmailed government employees.

At the same time, I share all the concerns about carelessness. But I also see how political division has America in its grip.

If I look at the challenge America is facing, I think that the Briks countries will have a golden future.

As I said, every country in the world has similar challenges.
No matter how you look at it, there are no political or economic solutions to these problems. They are of spiritual nature.

Make no mistake about the Tariffs. President Joe Biden has implemented significant tariff increases on several Chinese goods in 2024 to protect American industries from unfair trade practices. For electric vehicles (EVs), the rate increased from 25% to 100%, effective September 2024.

In addition, the rate increases included:

Lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles: from 7.5% to 25% in 2024.

Lithium-ion batteries for other applications: from 7.5% to 25% in 2026.

Solar cells and solar panels: doubling from 25% to 50% in 2024.

Steel and aluminum products: from 0-7.5% to 25% in 2024.

Semiconductors: from 25% to 50% in 2025.

Critical minerals: from 0% to 25% in 2024.

These measures are intended to boost U.S. manufacturing and reduce dependence on foreign goods.

Did it ever occur to you deportations are down because fewer illegals are sneaking across the border? Biden enacted tougher policies near the end of the election cycle in the attempt to save the Democrats from a defeat. It didn’t work. Border crossings are at an all time low . The CBP reports apprehensions on the south west border are down 85%. long time agents say they’ve never seen it this low. There’s a lot of things you can criticize Trump about but don’t start off thinking you’re gonna win an argument about the legal immigration comparing Trump to Biden because you won’t ..

Tariffs: Impact will hit wallets full force in 2nd quarter.  So much for lowering inflation. Let’s just make it worse.  Any jobs that might come from higher tariffs are years away if they materialize at all. There’s been no impact from tariffs on the US economy yet. What effect they will or won’t be know fora while. It’s all just partisan guesswork at this point. As far as I can tell from reading your entire post, the only thing you’re right about is to just wait and see what effect tariffs have.

DOGE: Love the initiative, but the draconian recklessness way things are being done serves no one.  And over half the reported savings can’t be substantiated or rely on misinformation. everyone says they love the initiative, but the recklessness is out of control. But every president, every senator, congressman says the same thing, we’ve got to get under control, cut spending, waste, and fraud but nobody does anything. This is the only way to get it done.

Signalgate: How many deflections and outright lies can they come up with?  Playing semantics - they weren’t “war plans”, they were just “top secret military plans”.  Mike Waltz should be fired.  What a dumbass.  Calls himself a "National Security Advisor”.  Pete Hegseth doesn’t even know what “classified information” is…  More semantics = "Not Classified" just "Sensitive". it was careless and a mistake not to pay attention who wad involved in the chat, but there was very little chance US lives were put in jeopardy and what’s rarely mentioned in the mission was a complete success. This is just a lot of Democrats screaming and trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. It was bad, but it’s just a mole hill. That’s it.

Trump is the only one trying to end the war. Everyone else is living under the delusion Ukraine can win. Why? 1) maybe they don’t want to confront the reality and 2) maybe they’re making money off of it.

Failing on so many fronts.
we are thriving, we’re not failing anywhere. If they held another election right now, Trump would beat any Democrat. Democrats just simply don’t understand reality. Right now your three most popular people touring the country, are Bernie Sanders, AOC and klutz Tim Waltz. Seriously, how f’d up are you if you think those three appeal to the majority of the country. They don’t..

I'm pretty sure we are supposed to ignore that part.

I'm not going to win any argument with someone incapable of critical thinking.  With over 11 million illegals, there are plenty to find.  If Trump was really being successful, he should be beating Biden's numbers (period).  Failed campaign promise (or lie).  I'll give him 1 point for reducing the number of new illegals.

Tariffs: Impact will hit wallets full force in 2nd quarter.  So much for lowering inflation. Let’s just make it worse.  Any jobs that might come from higher tariffs are years away if they materialize at all. There’s been no impact from tariffs on the US economy yet. This response is just plain stupid.  It's not partisan guess work - it's simple economics and it's been explained by economists from all sides of the spectrum.  Input costs go up, prices go up.  It doesn't take much research to see what past tariff wars did.  Expecting a different result doing the same thing is the definition of insanity.

Spending cuts should be done in Congress.  Is it retarded what happens in Congress, YES.  But DOGE for all it's hype will go down as a failure and destabilizing mistake.

Classic response - Dems making a mountain out of a mole hill (open your eyes).  You can't defend stupidity with "Nobody got hurt."  We're lucky the info didn't fall into the really wrong hands.  And what's in place to prevent it from happening again?  Waltz is bafoon and needs to go.  The app should be customized and privatized for gov't use and data retention.

Trump is NOT the only one trying to end the war.  Open youer eyes.  And if that is true, letting Ukraine die to end the war is the act of a coward.  And it just reinforces to Putin that he can break whatever pacts have been made and he'll get away with it.

Failing on so many fronts.

Thriving?  What planet are you on?  I'm not f'ed up at all.  I'm not following what any of them are saying.  You know what - IT IS POSSIBLE TO THINK CRITICALLY AND EVALUATE THINGS HONESTLY without giving up your ideology or political bias.  You might want to try it.  It really doesn't hurt.

I believe all my responses were well thought out.

Why would deportations be lower under Trump? Assuming the figures are correct and won’t be adjusted as more data comes, I’m not sure. If your assertion is Biden was tougher on illegals than Trump is, that’s obviously preposterous. I don’t know why they would be lower, do you?

Tariffs have not affected anything significantly yet. My company exported products to Brazil for years and paid a tariff. When Brazil increased the %, we built a plant in Brazil and employ about 200 people. The lesson from that is the effects from tariffs are not one dimensional. Like I said, let’s wait and see. Regarding the opinion of economists, I can find just as many who are more optimistic than pessimistic.

I support Doge. Congress will never get this under control, never.

Your response to the Signal issue is far more partisan than mine.

Democrats want to keep funding a war that can’t be won. Trump is not letting Ukraine die, in fact his plan would likely preserve more of Ukraine. I have no desire to get into a war with Russia over Ukraine. If Russia attacks a NATO country, we’ll deal with them at that point.

I’m in the manufacturing business and business is growing since Trump. We’ve not seen a drop off at all and in fact we project growth in high tech industries like data centers. The leftist media is shoveling so much BS into the minds of wacho lefties, they’re keying and burning Teslas.

Ann Coulter was right, liberalism is a mental disease.
