Makes sense.

Personally I'm not interested in outrageous amount of logistics and paperwork it would take. Converting the medical system alone will be a disaster.

Since Canada has a huge landmass of ten provinces and three territories, you would have to have ten, maybe eleven new states. Imagine all the squables abut US/imperial measurements and Canadian metric system.
