Title: New rule Post by JOG on 03/02/25 at 13:47:50 I'm no longer opening a thread to read a reply by certain people. If someone else replies, I'll Read the reply by the people I consider a waste of time. And the Reply To them By someone I am willing to bother to open the thread to read. |
Title: Re: New rule Post by Serowbot on 03/02/25 at 15:15:54 Hate to say it but that sounds very much like the way you use the internet in general So you cancel out me, Thumper, and Eegore (if he ever started a post) Pretty radical Maybe we should boycott your posts Then we'll have nothing :-? |
Title: Re: New rule Post by Eegore on 03/02/25 at 16:05:32 If anything this further proves how Observed Reality actually works. Don't like it - don't Observe it. Kind of funny coming from a member that call people "gutless" for not responding to his posts. |
Title: Re: New rule Post by WebsterMark on 03/02/25 at 16:35:41 Jog, do us all a favor. Use that delete post button and just pretend that never happened. |
Title: Re: New rule Post by JOG on 03/02/25 at 19:27:08 Nope. Natcherlee rowboat misinterpreted what I said. And E turned into something I did not say. I Will read the posts. I WON'T open the thread in order to do that until I see a reply from someone who isn't An idiot or AssHoe. |

Hey AssHoe,, READ My Fukkin POST. I said I won't Open to read from jakkasses. I DIDN'T SAY I would not READ your idiotic crap. someone else replies, I'll Read the reply by the people I consider a waste of time. And the Reply To them You should try OBSERVING |
Title: Re: New rule Post by Eegore on 03/02/25 at 20:02:43 I WON'T open the thread in order to do that until I see a reply from someone who isn't An idiot or AssHoe. Yeah that's how I interpreted it. If a thread doesn't have a reply you want to hear you won't look. Don't see a thread with a post from someone you want to hear from, just don't Observe it - don't open the thread. Considering how many times you complained people didn't respond to you I wonder if it crossed your mind that maybe they think you are an idiot. Hey AssHoe,, READ My Fukkin POST. I said I won't Open to read from jakkasses. I DIDN'T SAY I would not READ your idiotic crap. Ok so you will read it, but also won't open it unless certain people respond. So what happens when nobody you want to Observe a post from is in a thread? Again, nothing more than an example of why Observed Reality is nothing more than choosing to see what you want to see. Mr sends PM's telling members to stop using the forum freely unless it is conducive to his happiness sit's here calling members AssHoe and jakkasses. At least this method is under your control instead of trying to tell other's what to do so I will say this is a more reasonable alternative. |
Title: Re: New rule Post by JOG on 03/02/25 at 20:32:56 Yeah that's how I interpreted it. What u SAID didn't look like that |
Title: Re: New rule Post by zevenenergie on 03/03/25 at 03:01:43 My knowledge of the English language is sometimes just a little bit lacking and that is really handy when insults and curses come along. It is only rarely that I take it personally, because I think that how someone reacts to what I say is their own responsibility and I also see it as someone just expressing themselves. I am not always calm inside, and it is nice when the other person has the ability to take it. But it is good to indicate your boundaries Jog. I see that you have been very active on the forum in recent months and your mission is clear. But there is also the danger that you get carried away too much. It is always good to stay in your center. It is also good to remain critical of what you read and post because sometimes there are articles that are questionable when it comes to the truth content. You are simply judged harshly for that because everyone likes to be right. And they really see things differently. So you cannot always say that they see it wrong. Because you don't know what they're looking at. Everyone has their own point of view. And there are more important things than politics. http://https://i.imgur.com/fUTvsVv.jpg An Australian who saved 2.4 million babies with his blood plasma, according to the Australian blood bank, has died at the age of 88. James Harrison, also known as 'The Man with the Golden Arm', died on February 17. |
Title: Re: New rule Post by WebsterMark on 03/03/25 at 05:14:39 Then what’s the point Jog? We’ve all been at this for a ridiculously long time and I know the personalities (forum personalities that is) for all of you as much as you know me. If one of you died, I feel like I should attend the funeral. I ignored thumper’s post for a long time because they had little value. “Orangeman bad” over and over is useless content but I changed my mind and pushed him to actually write two sentences now and then which adds value. I’ve told MnSpring I can’t read his posts because the indents and constant paragraph returns makes it too hard to follow most times, but I struggle through them at times. I don’t ignore them. And our fair and balanced moderator id the ultimate liberal who’s never been mugged yet and is a conservative in an eggshell just waiting to be cracked open set free so I’m always going to read what he posts. You and Eegore have this love/hate thing going on which can be interesting to follow at times, but it’s like cutting the grass on a hot summer day. I put it off until it’s grown too high and it’s a real struggle get through it. You have made some of the funniest comments on here and created real life LOL moments. And you raise interesting questions, but if I may, you take things far too serious. This is not a boardroom of a corporation, and we are not elect representatives arguing actual national policy. We are lobbying for positions and an opportunity to be heard and a chance to change someone’s opinion about the topic, even it’s just one percent. Here’s my point. If we stop opening threads of certain people, then I would suggest the owners of this forum just delete the tall table. Shut it down and forget about it. |

Title: Re: New rule Post by Eegore on 03/03/25 at 08:13:14 Here’s my point. If we stop opening threads of certain people, then I would suggest the owners of this forum just delete the tall table. Shut it down and forget about it. I disagree. I think JOG's approach here is considerably better than his previous strategy of telling others what they should or should not say. Especially given his propensity to insult people for not agreeing with him, as if that provides any avenues for adult discussion he repeatedly states he desires. We don't force him to say the things he does, we don't have that level of control over his life. At least by being selective of what he will read he has actual control and not directed demands of others. This of course will keep his batting average high as he will reduce his ability to Observe conflicting information to his own. None of those choices should impact the rest of us as we will continue to have normal discussions amongst ourselves. |
Title: Re: New rule Post by WebsterMark on 03/03/25 at 08:32:57 I disagree with your disagreement! To continue the metaphor of the tall table, who would sit at a table with a few people that are just drinking beer and not talking. Or who completely ignores what someone else says and demands everyone engage in their conversational topic. I’d leave. |

Or who completely ignores what someone else says and demands everyone engage in their conversational topic. I’d leave. I think a more accurate assessment is sitting at a tall table and one guy only talks to you and MnSpring but will not listen to or respond to everyone else. Even more accurate is he won't come to the table if someone he doesn't like is at the table. We can all still behave normally, and it's better than one guy telling other people at the table when they can talk and when they can not. Basically not handing out cease and desist orders to people they choose to sit with while calling them names for having their own opinions but not speaking them in a manner conducive to his own happiness. Basically we don't get to deal with: Hey asshoe, stop saying things I don't like you jakkass, that's an order! |

Title: Re: New rule Post by Eegore on 03/03/25 at 10:48:29 Would that be like, People like 'TT' and 'Hovas', who did that on a VERY ROUTINE basis ? Yes it would be exactly like that - except none of them ever, to my knowledge, told me or other members to cease and desist in regard to responding to posts. They just dealt with it. AND, the people here, today, (that have a very Liberal view of things) Do ? Yes, again except for sure none of them tell you, me, or anyone else to stop posting because they don't like what they see. I get it though. If a human refuses to Observe certain things, they can maintain a certain reality. |
Title: Re: New rule Post by Serowbot on 03/03/25 at 11:03:48 In spite of our disagreements, I'm sure me an' JoG would be best buds if we were within walking distance Hate what I say or not, at least let me vent... I got to get through 4 years of this idiot Try to be kind :-? |
