Title: DOGE logic

If you're 10lbs overweight,... cut off your head      :-?

No one’s cutting off heads. You’ve picked up on the Democratic media’s talking points as gospel when they’re not, they’re exaggerations of reasonable first steps of demonstrating a serious intent to do what every other single President said they were going to (including Trump in term one) but lied about.

Did it ever occur to you the people that manage and run that facility didn’t need to close it but they did to make a political point? That’s the more likely explanation.

For 99% of the country, absolutely nothing has changed under the Trump administration other than things have gotten better.

Did they have a manned control tower before this week?

I work for a company with a small private plane and a half dozen times I flew in it, most of the time we landed on runways with no control tower.

In fact, and I didn’t know this, I had to pee once real bad, and it was dark. I mentioned it to the pilot, and he said no problem. He checked his charts, this was before everyone had a cell phone, made a little diversion and started going down, flipped a switch, and all of a sudden runway lights lit up and we landed and there was a small bathroom. Crazy. Rest stop for small planes!

My favorite is unwittingly firing 300 people that oversee nuclear stockpiles or arsenals or whatever.  The admin then tries to minimize it and says 50.

Then it gets better….realizing the blunder they then try to re-hire the 300. Now the real number is 300….  But, DOH!  They can’t figure out how to contact the people they need to rehire.   DOH!  How “Efficient” is this?

BFD….so what? They messed up and fixed it.

Here, I looked it up for you, because I know you won’t . This has always been an unmanned landing strip. So you were just spreading nonsense.

Clearly, you would be an acceptable candidate for a main stream news anchor. Which is to say, I’ll be polite here, a regular spreader of disinformation.

Really?  So what’s it going to take to be a BFD for you?  It was lied about (so much for transparency…that’s only for when it’s convenient I suppose), and it’s NOT fixed.

What exactly would FAA employees do if there is no control tower?  Stand on a ladder?  As Webstermark explained, there are many active airstrips with no FAA employees anywhere near them.  Blaming Trump reductions in FAA staff should only apply to locations where there are FAA staff.

There are thousands of small airfields across the country that have no control tower, and never did, they don’t need one.  When flying into an air field like that, leaving and arriving aircraft make radio calls on a posted frequency indicating their intentions so everyone can make adjustments & be safe.
To get a control tower an air field needs to have a higher level of aircraft traffic on a regular basis to get a tower.
Think about road intersections, many are uncontrolled, others may have a yield sign, a stop sign, a blinking yellow light, or light signals.  It all depends on the amount of traffic.  When approaching an uncontrolled intersection all drivers are expected to take actions necessary to be safe.  The same applies at uncontrolled air fields.
This has worked well for the100 years of aviation in the US, so no big deal.

A BFD would be Trump repeating his mistakes from the first term, the biggest of which was asking for a protest on Jan 6. That was stupid. It wasn’t an insurrection of course but it was stupid.

Okay, here’s kinda a BFD. Just read Trump’s comments and Zelenskyy. I feel like 99% of what he said is true, but there’s no reason to say.

Those are good examples.

Here’s a new one that could blow up in Trump and DOGE’s face… As I’ve mentioned or eluded to in other comments, I don’t necessarily have a problem with DOGE and the agenda, it’s the bull in a china shop approach to how it’s getting done.

6700 IRS layoffs during peak tax return seasons.  There’s going to be some upset Trump supporters (and Dems too) if tax refunds take an extraordinary amount of time to get into people’s hands.

And if there’s disruption, then what?

Musk famously got rid of the majority of Twitter staff when he took over with no drop off in service.

I have traded in Machines that I bought at bankruptcy auctions as an additional income.
The profit regularly exceeded my regular turnover.
I often saw that theft was the cause of bankruptcy.

Many people do not realize that if you steal something of 100 dollars, the company has to make 100 dollars profit to compensate for it.
So you steal much more than the value of what you steal.

So as a competing company you cannot afford internal theft.

A bankruptcy is an enormous loss of capital, and the figures show that America can go bankrupt because of the national debt in a relatively short period of 10 years.

That does not only mean that you will have a gigantic problem in 10 years. You already have a gigantic problem now. Because debt claimants have enormous power over you. And they are after your inventory,

As a government you have to serve your country and that is not possible if your national debt is too high and you do not want to do anything about it.
Here only a rough brush from outside helps.

And there you have the saving angel:

That Trump is doing something about it is a blessing.

Many people do not realize that if you steal something of 100 dollars, the company has to make 100 dollars profit to compensate for it.

And the time, energy, to do that is Treading Water, the company is stagnant.
Many? I'd say the vast majority. The profit margin companies operate on isn't what people think. If they had a clue they would not say the guy flipping burgers should be paid 15 bucks an hour.
If you've never had your house robbed you probably don't really know what it does.
The money, that part of your income Not demanded to cover bills, that part we call
Discretionary,, That is what you have to use to replace what someone stole. The percentage of earnings that represents is different for everyone. Same is true for businesses.
Ohh, what is the use?
The thing is, the person stolen from suffers a devastating loss. The thief sells what cost the victim a thousand dollars for a hundred. Maybe..
Go DOGE!
