Title: Re: fools folly Post by WebsterMark on 02/03/25 at 05:08:51 Let’s just take a wait and see approach on tariffs. Regarding Canada, who cares. They have any Normas landmass in the population size of California. We hold all the cards. There’s nothing Canada provides that we can’t get somewhere else. Entrepreneurs in the US will begin decorate these products themselves. Yes the price will be a little higher absolutely. Economic activity, while it won’t offset that, will increase as entrepreneurs in the US will begin to create these products themselves. The loss to Canada‘s economy will grow and eventually Canada will fold. I don’t know enough about Mexico to say. I suspect they will also yield to Trump’s demands to get to the tariffs down. I mean look, Rubio goes to South America and has two major victories. You can say whatever you want to stay up here, but in the real world, leaders of these countries are aware they’re facing the alpha wolf right now. |

And AGAIN, you do not READ, you regurgitate what you are TOLD TO SAY by the UL, WOKE, DFI, FDS, Socialists. Facts are it was a PLUS. Not as much as it should have been, but is was a PLUS ! |
Title: Re: fools folly Post by WebsterMark on 02/03/25 at 08:12:56 Well, that didn’t take long. Mexico folded already and Trump pause the tariff for a month. |
Title: Re: fools folly Post by WebsterMark on 02/03/25 at 08:24:15 From JD Vance: “For three days a lot of the far left has actively rooted against America and argued we’d get nothing out of President Trunp’s demands that Mexico secure its country. Well, how do you like them apples?” |

Title: Re: fools folly Post by WebsterMark on 02/03/25 at 10:49:58 No he didn’t. He paused them because the Mexican president agreed to send 10,000 troops to the border to intercept fentanyl shipments and keep people from sneaking over the border. You can lie to everyone you want, but you really should start trying not lying to yourself. |

And AGAIN, "... Mexican President .. said she spoke to the American leader Monday and that they came to an accord that delays for at least a month ... In exchange, she said Mexico had agreed to reinforce its northern border with 10,000 members of its national guard in order to combat migration and the trafficking of illegal drugs. ..." Just keep regurgitating what you are TOLD TO SAY, It keeps up the 'post' count, so ads pay more. |
Title: Re: fools folly Post by thumperclone on 02/03/25 at 13:33:11 tariffs didn't prolong the great depression either |

People were still streaming across the border until Trump took office. There’s dozens of stories detailing this, pick your favorite. “Less than 600 people crossed illegally into the U.S. from Mexico on Sunday – a stunningly low number since President Donald Trump took office. Sources tell Fox News that not a single one of the nine sectors received more than 200 crossings on Jan. 26, and the number of daily encounters only reached 582 in total. The Del Rio sector – which is the same sector that would sustain over 4,000 crossings per day during the height of the border crisis in December 2023 – only recorded 60 crossings. For comparison, the daily number of border encounters during the final days of the Biden White House teetered between 1,200 to 1,400 per day.” |
Title: Re: fools folly Post by WebsterMark on 02/03/25 at 13:40:35 You’ve got plenty of things to complain about Trump. His press conferences for example, where he just speaks off the cuff about stuff before the facts are in (But be careful because he’s right more often than not) But things like border crossings, where there’s absolute numbers, easily obtainable, stop lying to yourself and others about that. |
Title: Re: fools folly Post by JOG on 02/03/25 at 14:29:14 Biden got that agreement without tariffs tanking our economy Claudia is laughing up her sleeve Well, that explains the millions upon millions of illegals who flooded across the border.. And IIRC bidump couldn't do Anything about it unless a stupid bill got passed. Trump has Proven YOU and Bidump LIARS |
Title: Re: fools folly Post by WebsterMark on 02/03/25 at 15:05:34 ….and now Canada. I believe I said, this is what would happen. The US is just too big. We can do without Canada and Mexico but Canada and Mexico cannot do without the US. Not sure about China. |
