Title: Re: say it ain't so Post by JOG on 12/29/24 at 16:06:11 data indicates that the Arctic sea ice extent is currently 26% larger than it was in 2012, contradicting earlier predictions that the region would be ice-free by 2013. Notably, in 2009, Al Gore suggested there was a 75% chance the north polar ice cap could be completely ice-free during summer months within the next five to seven years. Additionally, Antarctic sea ice extent has shown increases, being 21% higher than two years ago and 8% higher than in 1982. These findings challenge previous forecasts by various sources, including the BBC and The New York Times, which had predicted rapid ice loss over the decades. #Arctic #Al Gore #Antarctic #BBC #The New York Tim Wherever you're getting your Facts, like Joetato is sharp as a tack, You are being mislead |

Title: Re: say it ain't so Post by MnSpring on 12/30/24 at 07:35:02 VERY MOST, ’Studies’, Come to the conclusion the, FUNDER, of the ’study’ wants. Words like: ‘you can’ ‘tipping point would have’ ‘ wouldn’t be felt immediately’ ‘ impact it could have’ ‘mechanism could affect’ … … … are very present, VERY PRESENT ! Adding the excessive explanation on ‘HOW’ something could happen. Which Infers that it has happened. Buried deep are:’ “… rise in sea levels accumulating over tens and hundreds of years …” “… does not give time frames for when the tipping point might be reached …” “ … does it give figures for how much sea level rise can be expected …” There is no reference accepted by the UL, WOKE, DFI, Socialists, outlining the FACT this spaceship has fluctuations in climate. AND, we are STILL, coming out of the last ICE AGE ! A DFI, Freedom hating Communist, says it is Farting Cows fault, and the UL, DFI, WOKE, FDS, Socialists totally, Believe it !!!!! |

Title: Re: say it ain't so Post by MnSpring on 12/31/24 at 07:55:05 Just a few, 'Observing Reality' ! “… Remember when They said we had to switch from paper bags to plastic to "save the trees …” “… You can payoff a scientist as easily as you can payoff a politician …” “… I still remember being told as a teenager that there was a "New Ice Age" coming, then in the 90s it became "Global Warming" and now it's "Climate Change" …” “… It's not about saving the climate. It's about establishing a predicate for imposing social control. …” The one I would change a bit is: “… You can payoff a scientist as easily as you can payoff a politician …” So it would say" ' … You can payoff a scientist easier than you can payoff a politician, And for less money ! …' |
Title: Re: say it ain't so Post by WebsterMark on 12/31/24 at 08:14:54 The Arctic very well may be ice free in the future. As I always say, of which, there is no argument against, if you had a time machine and set it to go backwards a fraction of a second ago on the earth’s geological clock, (a mere 15,000 years ago ) and decided to stand on the shores of Lake Michigan without the Chicago skyline interfering with your view, a fraction of a second ago, they weren’t there. It was an ice covered field. The unanswerable question, and it is unanswerable, is what impact does a tiny amount of CO2 in the atmosphere have on the global average temperature. And the other big question, does whatever increase in temperature carry all negative consequences? No one knows the answers to those questions, despite what you hear. So sit the Fxxk down, shut the fxxk up, and take a reasonable approach. If you want to develop electric vehicles because they reduce air pollution and improves human health, then go ahead and make that argument. If you want to demand windmills and solar power so we reduce the air pollution caused by burning coal and other biomass, then make sure you tell everybody that, without nuclear power, the lifestyles of the developed world will have to be curtailed a little bit, and the undeveloped world will continue living in energy poverty so the developed world can at least have their toys. Be honest about it. But don’t pin your hopes on sermons from some silly little Swedish girl that you turned into a puppet or some ex vice president, or John Kerry who we only know because he married a rich girl or the rest of these clowns who fly all over the world on private jets and tell us to live in energy poverty while they buy their second and third fully insured beachfront vacation home that they’re telling you is going to be wiped out by rising seawater levels. It’s always a source of laughter when the same clowns who tell you global warming is caused by rich and evil corporations who put profits above the knowledge that they’re destroying the world…….while at the same time they’re able to fully insure their beachfront homes by working with…..wait for it…. rich and evil insurance corporations who by all rights should certainly refuse to insure their property knowing that it’s going to be swept away this decade by encroaching seawater. Global warming religious fanatics are some of the most gullible people on the planet. |
