Title: Re: She lied Post by Eegore on 12/15/24 at 08:25:07 Whenever a woman accuses a man (or men) of sexual misconduct she's always gotta be believed 'cause women never lie about stuff like that The reason is not because they never lie, it is because claims of assault should be treated seriously and fully investigated. Instead of saying she must have been ok with multiple men penetrating her anus at a party because she was drunk. Yes I've heard that with my own ears, as well as versions of it in regard to other sexual assaults. The problem is the verbiage "always trust" instead of something more accurate like always assist and investigate etc. - specific to the humans responsible for assisting those that have been assaulted. I've personally witnessed law enforcement refuse to document SANE (rape kit) packets from the medical center because they didn't believe the girls, and in a few cases men. After back-logs were processed they found that many victims were raped by the same guy(s). Really? You mean rapists don't rape once and retire? I don't have to "trust" these victims, but the medical staff have to collect evidence and law enforcement have to investigate by duty - not by opinion at the time. Also there's a lot of complexity to sexual assault when it comes to the victim(s) state of mind. "Trust the victim" has increased DNA based incarcerations. This is because more victims actually report now. Would you want your sister/niece/female relative to stay silent about a guy that raped her because nobody would believe her anyway, you know, because she was on a third date and did get in the car for a ride home after all. I'd say "trust the victim" is intended more for family/friends to support instead of blame, and for Public Servants / resources to do their job fairly. |
Title: Re: She lied Post by MnSpring on 12/15/24 at 17:59:08 “… The reason is not because they never lie …” The, victim, will always LIE. When money is involved, or the perpetrator is of a opposite opinion, “… claims of assault should be treated seriously and fully investigated …” They are ! It just depends on which side of the isle is doing the investigation ! And which side, the, “victim”, is. ! |
Title: Re: She lied Post by WebsterMark on 12/16/24 at 04:43:33 The problem is accusations being used as a weapon and unfortunately some women will wield it. The nominee for Secy of Defense is a classic case. If you read the details of the situation, you can pretty much piece together exactly what happened. They were a hotel at a big event, the woman’s husband and kids had gone to the room early. She was infatuated with Pete, went to his room, did the deed and went back to her family’s room. I suspect her husband knew what happened and confronted her and after a couple of days of back-and-forth, she came up (or they came up with it together) with the story that he assaulted her as a way to save her marriage/family. I suspect Christine Blasey Ford was a similar situation. They were in marriage therapy, and my guess is she had to admit to an affair with someone, so she came up with the story about being assaulted when she was younger. The previous governor of Missouri, Eric Gritens was similar. A woman he had an affair with alleged that he tied her up and took pictures and threatened her with blackmail which is why she kept going back to his house for sex. I’m sorry but that’s nonsense. Nobody ties up a woman in their basement and take pictures of them, unless they’ve done something really kinky before and this story Missouri was so widespread, any other woman, who had something happen to her by him, would have spoken up. But nobody did. There’s a recording of her and her husband when she admits having an affair and you can tell she thought of that story as a way to salvage her marriage as best as she could. Sometimes women get embarrassed about the behavior, and they lie to cover it out. I get it. It happens. The problem is certain district, attorneys, and certainly the media will grab on it as a way to damage someone’s reputation or completely destroy them. There’s a woman who claimed Joe Biden did the same to her, but the media refuses to talk about that. Jill Biden’s ex-husband says she was sleeping with Joe long before their divorce but the media refuses to even think about that story too. And while as well known JFK was a male s|u, but what is absolutely blackballed is that you can’t talk about Martin Luther King‘s constant sexual exploits. That’s taboo. |
