Matt Gaetz resigned as a congressman to pursue confirmation for Attorney General. If something happens and he doesn’t get confirmed, guess what? Because Marco Rubio will be the Secretary of State. The governor of Florida gets to appoint his replacement as a senator. You know who’ll he’ll appoint? Matt Gaetz. So you either get him as an attorney general or senator

I’d rather have him as Attorney General myself just for the press conferences.

Thank You for that explanation. I didn't know what was going on with him or the legalizistics of the maneuvers.
