Title: Sissybar + Luggage rack from a sporstster Post by TheBabyDerp on 11/10/24 at 11:07:56 Planning on taking the bike 2up to the smokies from the Gulf Coast. Needed a backrest for passenger and a luggage rack for our bag. Stock backrest and luggage rack ends up being $300 or more.... NOPE Well. I saw someone on a FB group use a sissy bar made for a 2004-2023 Sportster on a Savage, so I figured I would give it a try. I took it a step further and got a luggage rack while I was at it. Amazon has a good return policy, so I figured why not. This ended being about $110 total. If you shopped around for used parts, you could easily bring this down, but I am lazy. Well, it works. It's not a perfect fit, but it requires zero drilling, and it is functional. It's easy to remove if I ever wanna toss it off. This is pretty much it. It will easily hold up to way more luggage than I will ever bring. I will follow up with pics after the links. The sissy bar comes in chrome and black. I am sure you can find a black luggage rack. Sportster parts are plentiful. I decided not to install it. I prefer the look without it. |
