Title: And now for something completely different…
Post by WebsterMark on 11/09/24 at 04:29:22

… was always a great opening for Monty Python.

To the left leaning drinkers sitting at this tall table, has this recent beat down caused you to rethink what you believed to be true and if so, what?

And to the right leaning drinkers, do you think Republicans have a mandate,  essentially a green light,  for massive changes and if so, what?

I regularly visit a website where many left-wing people come. First there was enormous hostility towards Trump and now that anger is turning against non-voters among themselves.
You also hear a lot about election fraud there.

I am mainly interested in America's foreign policy in the coming period.
But I am also curious if he can do something about the government spending. That will reduce the state debt. The interest now exceeds the defense budget so it is becoming a pretty important topic.

I imagine they have the same rethinking of what is true as right leaning drinkers did in 2020.  This is an opinion for anyone incapable of understanding what an opinion is.

This post is an opinion.  The previous sentence indicates a human opinion.

I observe the same thing.  It is my opinion that my observations are the same as yours.  The previous sentence indicates a human opinion.

I see a lot of the "We are the majority but people were lazy and didn't go vote!  After all we won last time!!!"  type of comments.

This post is an opinion.  The previous sentence indicates a human opinion.

I’ve not seen that or heard that in person.

What I’ve heard is people voted for Trump due to disinformation, they didn’t really understand who they were voting for.

Which is nonsense because the one thing Trump doesn’t lie about, can’t lie about it if he tried, is himself. He’s as transparent as glass. Voters know exactly who Trump is and they voted for him in droves.

They know he’s not a bigot, he’s not a racist, he’s not a Nazi.

No one really knew who Kamala Harris was. She couldn’t define herself because she was afraid of alienating one of the many boxes Democrats put people in. If you can’t say it’s wrong for a boy to pretend to be a girl and play a contact sport, you’re paralyzed by fear.

That is your opinion.

My opinion is very different.

(My opinion is biased on facts gleaned from both 'sides' of the "news")

That is indeed my opinion as noted by my statement of it being an opinion.  This is an opinion.  The previous sentence indicates a human opinion.

My opinion is typically gleaned from words of other humans.  I find little value in mainstream "news".  This is an opinion.

Reference for opinion:

o·pin·ion
[ch601][ch712]piny([ch601])n]
noun
a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge:
"I'm writing to voice my opinion on an issue of great importance" · "that, in my opinion, is dead right"
Similar:
belief
judgment
thought(s)
school of thought

the beliefs or views of a large number or majority of people about a particular thing:
"the changing climate of opinion"
(opinion of)
an estimation of the quality or worth of someone or something:
"I had a higher opinion of myself than I deserved"
a formal statement of advice by an expert on a professional matter:
"seeking a second opinion from a specialist"

This post has been a human opinion.
