Title: Long overdue! It's A Win! Post by JOG on 11/05/24 at 04:51:36 History has been made. After 7 years of pursuing legal action against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) over the risk posed to the developing brain by the practice of water fluoridation, the United States District Court of the Northern District of California has just ruled on behalf of the Fluoride Action Network and the plaintiffs in our precedent-setting court case. A U.S. federal court has now deemed fluoridation an “unreasonable risk” to the health of children, and the EPA will be forced to regulate it as such. The decision is written very strongly in our favor, and we will share it in its entirety tomorrow. Below is an excerpt from the introduction of the ruling: “The issue before this Court is whether the Plaintiffs have established by a preponderance of the evidence that the fluoridation of drinking water at levels typical in the United States poses an unreasonable risk of injury to health of the public within the meaning of Amended TSCA. For the reasons set forth below, the Court so finds. Specifically, the Court finds that fluoridation of water at 0.7 milligrams per liter (“mg/L”) – the level presently considered “optimal” in the United States – poses an unreasonable risk of reduced IQ in children..the Court finds there is an unreasonable risk of such injury, a risk sufficient to require the EPA to engage with a regulatory response…One thing the EPA cannot do, however, in the face of this Court’s finding, is to ignore that risk.” Now, let's see what happens. |

Title: Re: Long overdue! It's A Win! Post by Eegore on 11/05/24 at 06:11:20 that's why the maga clan is so stewpid! It's based off verifiable data. Multiple more stringent research in regard to fluoride in youth, and pre-natal humans has shown, consistently, that fluoride does impact the human brain in methods consistent with neurotoxicity. This lawsuit did nothing more than bring modern technology to the table and forced the EPA to acknowledge it. This is an opinion for anyone incapable of understanding what an opinion is. This here, in my opinion and this is an opinion for anyone incapable of understanding what an opinion is, is a very specific and thorough data-set on this issue: https://ntp.niehs.nih.gov/sites/default/files/ntp/about_ntp/bsc/2023/fluoride/documents_provided_bsc_wg_031523.pdf Other points: “Our meta-analysis confirms results of previous meta-analyses and extends them by including newer, more precise studies with individual-level exposure measures. The data support a consistent inverse association between fluoride exposure and children’s IQ.” “[R]esearch on other neurotoxicants has shown that subtle shifts in IQ at the population level can have a profound impact on the number of people who fall within the high and low ranges of the population’s IQ distribution. For example, a 5-point decrease in a population’s IQ would nearly double the number of people classified as intellectually disabled.” |
