Title: Beyonce encounter
Post by Eegore on 10/26/24 at 00:35:54

Given all this gripe about Beyonce at some Harris event I figured I would share an experience here.

So I saw her once about 10 years ago.  The reactions by young females, and males is by my opinion, and this is an opinion for anyone incapable of understanding what an opinion is, a bit over the top.

I don't even recall exactly what we were doing but it was at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and there was a easily a group of 100 humans in this lobby area.  I heard some commotion and then  multiple men in dark clothing walked up some stairs nearby and then this woman walked up, stopped near the top and waved then walked out of sight.  The whole thing took about 10 seconds.

I swear they saw Jesus walk on water by the aftermath.  My friend, who was a 25 year old female, was shaking, it was very noticeable on her arms.  I asked her what was wrong and she said "Nothing, I just saw Beyonce."  I then stood on this metal audio box and looked out over the crowd and people were hugging, grasping onto each other, many in tears.  Literally just crying full on tears.  I think someone was having an asthma attack.  This could have been footage from 9/11 on a NY sidewalk.

I've seen clips from Elvis, The Beatles, Motley Crue, Billy Idol etc. where crowds are going crazy, but being there, seeing these humans not just get excited, but be emotionally impacted to tears, dropping to their knees, holding each other - it was unhinged.  This is an opinion for anyone incapable of understanding what an opinion is.

I was in central Florida when Dale Earnhart crashed into the wall and died
lots of NASCAR fans down south
coworkers were devastated to say the least most called him their "hero"
not a term I use so lightly
more like idol worship

I don’t understand that either. I’ve gotten one autograph in my whole life only because I happen to be wearing a Suzuki hat standing by a fence talking to the great motocross racer, Roger DeCoster. I don’t even know why, but I took my head off and handed it to him, and he signed it without even thinking. I would never wait in line to see a celebrity and I certainly can’t imagine feeling emotional.

I went to a Sarah Palin rally once years ago only because I got a new motorcycle and I wanted to get out and ride it and it looked like a good destinations. I can’t imagine going to a Trump rally and I don’t believe I would ever go to an inauguration. I’ve only been to a couple concerts in my life. A few weeks ago, my wife and I went to see Billy Joel and Sting, first time in 40 years I paid for a concert ticket, other than the local symphony and theater. I almost went to Reagan’s funeral, but that was just another one of those things he lets go on a trip.

And I’m just reading this, so I don’t know if it’s true, but apparently Biden and Harris were advised Israel was about to attack Iran. But Biden left on vacation and Harris went to the concert with Beyoncé. I don’t know, maybe it’s me, but if I am advising Harris, I would say look, you’re not being thought of as a serious person so maybe make an announcement that there’s something serious going on and you have to go do your job. Maybe the excitement of being on stage was too much for her. I’m not sure.

I’d like to know the timeline of these events. But I’m going on a motorcycle camping trip for a couple of days so check into it when I get back.

Ha that's nothing,

I met Jannes van der Wal He was a Dutch draughts player. He became world champion, four times Dutch champion, four times rapid draughts champion He was in possession of the titles International Grandmaster and National Grandmaster.

Tis is him http://https://i.imgur.com/o7dc10jm.jpg

I was 21 and It was in the congress building in The Hague I joined a simultaneous draughts competition where he competed against 20 participants.

He walked past every table where he thought for half a second except at my table, where he stood there thinking deeply for about ten seconds each time.
After ten rounds he came to stand in front of my table and knocked all my stones off the table in one go. With a smiling face he said I had you after your first move.

But anyway I can say that I played against a world champion draughts player.

Afterwards we talked about the election and he said that Harris was a very bad candidate and that he would always vote for Trump. But that's besides the point.
