Title: Re: What being genuine looks like Post by Eegore on 09/09/24 at 11:05:08 I'm not sure that has anything to do with being genuine. If anything, changing one's mind because the alternative is worse in your eyes is more genuine than blindly supporting something/someone even if you think it's the bad option. Example 1. I support Candidate 1 over Candidate 2 I see that Candidate 1 has poor policy/ideas. I change my mind due to the ideas of Candidate 1 being worse than the other option. I say I no longer support Candidate 1. Am I genuine? I support Candidate 1 over Candidate 2 I see that Candidate 1 has poor policy/ideas. I change my mind due to the ideas of Candidate 1 being worse than the other option. I say I support Candidate 1 even though I will vote for Candidate 2. Am I genuine in this example? |
