Title: nitrous add on ?
Post by Suzuki86prince on 07/23/24 at 16:06:16

hey everyone
so ive been thinking about getting a nitrous shot added to my bike, I'm no expert but it seems do-able with the carb set up. but after looking into it i havnt been able to find any info on it here.

so im wondering if there is a reason no body has, and if so what are those reasons.

I am not so sure the Savage would like getting a shot of nitrous!

The first thing to complain would likely be the clutch.  Even when in great shape the clutch doesn't have a lot of extra holding power.

If you think your Savage needs N2...then it's time to consider a new or additional machine.

Nothin like a little giggle to get your blood flowin.

Realistically, NOX on a Savage is absurd....but hey.....so is NOX on a Herritage Classic.  Yep, I pretty much ruined the FLSTC, but oh boy was it fun.  That's a Ducati Monster that I'm puttin the beat-down on.  It's so much fun to surprise a guy on a hooligan or a sport bike.  It literally humilaites them.

The Savage would be tough to set up.  Hardley any room for all the junk (fuel pump, solenoids, bottle, etc.).  I don't think you would want to ride around on the street with a bottle hangin off the side like mine was (totally illegal).  If you wanted to use it for fun drags, test-n-tune night, grudge night, it would be fun.  But as Dave mentioned, you would need some serious beefing up.  You could easily boost up your power to 60 or 70 HP.  Almost none of the existing drive train could handle it.  BTW, it's instantaneous power.  Put a 50 shot on it and when you hit the trigger it makes 50, like right now.
