Title: Wrestling Post by WebsterMark on 12/01/23 at 04:36:10 I did not watch the red state versus blue state debate as I was in the middle of a 2 hour brutal pickle ball game and came home hobbling around like a 14-year-old girl on Epstein‘s island when Bill Clinton and Bill Gates were visiting. But these debates always remind me of all star wrestling on TV when I was a kid. It’s entertaining, but it doesn’t really show who is the better fighter. Debates are like this. Seriously, what skill on display at one of these debates is useful when sitting across the table from another world leader? They don’t talk like this when they’re on the conference table facing Russia or China, so why do we think being able to deliver a pre-written line that a dozen marketing professionals worked on for days has any real value? Florida is clearly, hands-down, the better governed, it’s not even close. I was visiting my brother in Montana near where they film Yellowstone and everyone up there hates California with a burning passion because the people in California who have money for running out of California and settling in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. I read where Newsom flat out lied and said more people are leaving Florida than California which number one should to be easy to check and number two cannot possibly be true. I’ve been to both state dozens of times and I hate Florida because of the heat. I’m not a beach guy. There’s been some places in California that are just absolutely stunning but I’ve also spent plenty of time in Los Angeles San Diego and in Central Valley and I can promise you a lot of that state is nothing but nuts holes. Newsome could very well win, however. He’ll have the entire media behind him, protecting him, and not pointing out all the lies he says. He can talk for five minutes without saying anything. DeSantis isn’t like that at all. He appears to be exactly what he is, a military officer. I hope the voters in the early states recognize this and dumped Trump. Trump is the only one who could possibly lose to this idiot, walking corpse, corrupt old man like Joe Biden. |

Because who we like is more important that what they do. Policy and actions always takes a backseat to words that make us feel better. Words require no effort - they mean something to me right away and I don't have to educate myself to anything. |

Like it or not, DeSantis has gotten a lot of his policies enacted in Florida so your interpretation of how he looks on stages before speaking is meaningless. Sure, there’s value in the persona you project. Trump projected strength and a “F U get out of my way” appearance which is why early in his Presidency at some economic meeting overseas, they all stepped aside when he pushed his way to the front. However, behind closed doors, he obviously wasn’t was forceful because despite his talk about draining the swamp, he never did. Newsom is a force to be reckoned with. He’s the perfect leftist. Absolutely ruins his state and smoothly blames it on others. Classic. |
