I agree however I do think it is majority thought. Humans are typically prejudiced or more forgiving towards things they like. Investing in cleaner lithium pools, good. Investing in cleaner coal, bad. Investing in more efficient oil extraction, good. Investing in solar, bad.

And while true, it's not applicable to people I choose to be close to. That describes cheap, shallow people who lie to themselves. Honesty is not so comfortable.
The sycophants who can't make themselves See what they cheer for don't have the backbone to admit what is going on in front of them. And ignoring the damage done to achieve what they thin,,,no,, believe ,,is better for the future, is easy enough for them.
Being an honest observer is not in them. It's something I have concluded is common amongst atheists. I've only known one conservative atheist and I knew another who was very much the Democrat, but honest in every way. We met in a clinic, taking chelation therapy. He was genuinely anti-social. The forms that asked about allergies were filled out, his allergy was listed as People,, but he liked me. A Republican and Christian,, and he bought and came forty plus miles to plant a dozen blueberry plants.
But when he realized that his conditions made him a burden on his wife, he killed himself.
