The Pentagon won't provide financial, or other assistance to films that alter the film content for distribution in China.

I imagine it works by providing legally binding agreements.

Maybe I didn't read it right.. I'm pretty sure I saw The Rule explained in a manner that would make the producers produce the movies in a manner that would satisfy their censors. If they want to pretend That is Not The Definition of Kowtowing.. What is?

I didn't read that anywhere.

What I read is the Pentagon will not provide assistance to any production that will voluntarily alter their film to meet Chinese film censorship standards. 100% of this is voluntary, there is no mandate of any kind on any film producer from any source.

"DOD will no longer work with directors if their movie will be censored by Beijing."
