Title: Big Crank battery terminal
Post by Tocsik on 05/06/23 at 11:02:36

How did y'all fit the Savage wires onto the Big Crank positive terminal? Or any other battery with different terminals? The U shaped metal tab isn't wide enough to fit unless I bend it flat.

I just bent mine flat.
It works.

Roger that. Got her done. Thought I had a bigger problem than the battery. Bike wouldn't start and I keep it on a tender since it's right next to where I park in the garage. Battery was almost 5 years old but still shows 12.6 V after sitting out of the bike for several days, waiting on the Big Crank to arrive.
Installed and fired right up. 8-)

So, is there any chance a new, healthy battery could make the bike run better? I don't see how. But it sure felt good this morning!

The only aftermarket electrical stuff I have is an LED headlight and a double FIAMM horn setup. I'm glad it was just the battery. I wasn't looking forward to tearing into the stator side of the motor when the weather is nice!

Y'all be safe! Thinking of going to Bike Night at the local Cycle Gear shop (related to RevZilla).

it could be that your connectors are getting corroded and need to be cleaned.

there are several connections between the battery to the TCI
