Title: Cracks in timing chain guide.
Post by Moarpower on 11/10/22 at 04:11:15

Hey guys. I have my motor apart and notice a series of small cracks in the timing chain guide that attaches to the tensioner.
Has anyone else noticed this? Will order a new one. Another 90 dollar part to add to the list

1 guy reported that his shed off of the guide and clogged up his oil pump.
So I'd would replace it if the cracks look serious.

That one is easy to swap. If you're uncomfortable with it, you should change it.
If you don't and you find yourself on the side of the road with your engine dead from oil deprivation you would never stop kicking yourself.
