Looks to be a WW2 Soldier with a streamlined bike ready for the salt flats.
Interesting.

Anyone have any idea what kinda trees those are?
Flat front tire?
I don't see room for much in the way of an engine.
The front suspension sure looks skinny..
Yeah, looks very WWII to me.
Are those olives growing there?
And I don't remember where I found that picture. But I looked and didn't see anything that would tell us anything.

Quote:
The Killinger and Freund Motorcycle was an attempt in 1935 by a group of five German engineers from Munich to design a more streamlined and modified version of the German Megola front-wheel drive motorcycle. The work took three years to complete but the result was striking. The engine displacement stayed the same as the Megola at 600 cc but was much lighter and more simplified than a standard 100 cc motorcycle of the time.

I’ve never seen one before , very cool , way ol skool motorcycle porn.
I would definitely ride that. You would have to dress the part everytime out too ! Front wheel drive must be strange.

I think the dude who came up with this design must be an ancestor of Arlen Ness.

If I got a chance to ride that bike, I would wear jeans and a linen blazer.
I love that huge front tire.

https://www.bikeexif.com/killinger-und-freund
This is one of the most unusual motorcycles I’ve seen in a long time: it’s a ‘Killinger und Freund’ built in 1935 in Munich, Germany. The art deco styling is obviously eye-catching, but it’s hiding something even more interesting: this machine has a driven front wheel, like the Rokon Trail-Breaker. And underneath that huge front fender is the engine itself.

The motor is a sizeable 600 cc two-stroke triple—or perhaps three one-cylinder engines joined together. Yet the bike was reportedly very light, at just 135 kg. There’s obviously a story behind this picture too: is the soldier an American who found the bike in the dying days of the war, and posed for a picture taken by a colleague? The Allies rolled into Munich on 30 April 1945, and Wikipedia reports “One motorcycle was discovered by the US Army in the spring of 1945 at a German military installation, but it is not known if this was the original prototype or another Killinger und Freund Motorrad.”

Servicing the engine must have been fun.

What a cool design.

Must have been really loud - straight pipes.
Steering must have been very heavy with a 600cc engine in the front wheel.
I'd still buy one!

That should be the picture next to Unsprung Weight in the dictionary.

Shapes and Lines my friends , a classic example. No straight lines.and absolutely aerodynamic. Pure motorcycle porn , the longer I stare at it the more I love it.
In my book it’s the sexiest design I’ve ever seen !

This reminds me of the Arlen Ness bike that was bumble bee yellow, long and with lots of curves like the old bike here.  The line from the headlight through the tank and to rear portion behind the seat, built just like the rear fin area of a ‘57 Chevy.  The headlight and tank portion looks like the upper fender of the ‘57 Chevy.....including the chrome strip along the whole side.

Curves.

Drive design way ahead of its time ! If you look it’s almost the same as our modern electric drive units , drive n brakes all in one unit. Would love to rebuild one with electric drive but change nothing else to retain its awesome design.  Almost has a spaceship look to it , something Buck Rodgers would ride , already doing the ton standing still !

An E ticket ride..Sexy and fast.
The drawings would be great. I wonder what it looks like naked.
Well, for the entrepreneur, there is a model. Hiding batteries in there anelectric motor in the hub, if you got it right, people would dig it.
