Title: Cover plate for the muffler switch
Post by winterwolf2000 on 09/08/22 at 06:49:21

Hey guys,
I  am putting on the  screaming eagle on my bike the HD  65747-94    going to do it just like it says to here on the site. I am not seeing anything on the cover plate however. Has anyone got a link or name of one I can get? I know the original one will not fit on with the switch.

Do I need to stick with the 1 3/4 Or do I need to go bigger?

The reason you aren't getting the answers you are looking for is because what you are doing isn't something we have seen much of. IDK Who has done what you want to do. If you were asking for guidance on how to get a Dyna muffler installed, you would have already had the answers.
It's not that you are being given The Cold Shoulder, just nobody knows how to help you.
Maybe someone will come along and understand the questions, frankly I'm a bit confused about a cover? I'm not sure exactly what problem you're having.
Maybe if you tried rewording the question someone could come up with something that would help you.

the OD of the muffler connection is 1.688"... 1.75" is fine

HD muffs are 1.75" and the stock header is about 2"

the clamps usually allow for 2" but if not, you can substitute.

Search

T-clamp hose clamps.
IDK how big of a town you're in but the industrial supply houses often have these on the shelf. And reasonably priced, at least that is what I found.
There is an area of town where I go for bearings ,like for the mower. They cost half of the price at the lawnmower store. They even sell belts. Generally about half price.
The mower places hafta buy stuff somewhere.
Those fancy clamps get sold to the motorcycle store from a warehouse.

This one from Cobra is nice quality. You can get cheaper, but you get what you pay for.  Got in on evil Amazon.

Looks good, Toc. Looks like you have let that poor, defenseless peg drag through a corner..
