Title: Lost power 2008 S40 w/3000 miles
Post by buster6315 on 08/07/22 at 18:48:41

'Where were your fingers last?'  Wiring up new rear turn signal that p.o. had eliminated. Had not made the final connection, turned on ignition switch and I had nothing.  Checked the two 20 amp fuses and they're OK.  Are there any others?  I've got no lights front or rear, no horn, nothing.  I hooked up the battery tender and the battery is more than half charged; (green light blinking) Suppose I should pull the battery and check the connections.  Where should I check next please?  Starter? Thank you!  OOOPS! sorry about the double post

Only 2 fuses , yes check connections at battery and grounds. And check connections at starter relay and starter. Then check plugs under fuel tank , green plug is to ignition switch. Battery at 12 .8 volts , or get a new one.
If fuses are good it’s either a bad connection or bad battery.

Trying to solve problems and not having a good battery is begging for frustration and failure.

Found a green connector under the seat.  Not sure how it got disconnected, but that was the ticket.  Thanks to all who offered suggestions/help!
