I buy cheap ones... nothing exotic, especially not long lasting. Harder materials will wear the rotors.
I'd a lot rather replace the pads 5 times than a rotor once.

EBC organic for sure. I'm on my second rotor now. Trying to engine brake and use the rear brake more but never at the expense of safety.
