Title: A bit lean? Post by wheelbender6 on 07/17/22 at 14:04:23 I checked my spark plug while I had the tank off for the Raptor petcock install. -the plug is slightly darker than the photo shows. Still looks lean to me. I am running a 150 jet, so I will try the 155. |
Title: Re: A bit lean? Post by ohiomoto on 07/17/22 at 17:39:30 That plug looks almost perfect to me. It's clean with no signs of burning. If our engines were water cooled you might see a bit more color around the perimeter. I'd throw a new one in three and be happy. Also, 155 is way rich IMO if your motor is mostly stock. I think most people on here mistakenly think they should see some carbon fouling on their plug. You want clean a very light tan at the most. Title: Re: A bit lean? Post by wheelbender6 on 07/17/22 at 18:00:31 That plug does look a bit old. The south winds can get salty in Houston, making things look older. The electrode didn't look so good either. -I will stick with my current jetting. |
