Title: '96 Speedometer type Post by neenertronics on 06/03/22 at 08:08:23 Hello all, need a new speedometer hood for my '96. OEM sites have 2 speedometers, type E28 and E3/E33. I've looked all over mine and didn't see any markings to that effect. I can't tell what the difference is and if I should care, if I just need the hood. Does anyone know the difference between the two speedo types? Thanks! |
Title: Re: '96 Speedometer type Post by Dave on 06/03/22 at 15:37:41 As far as I know - the only difference is the 86 model had an indicator light for the side stand. That was eliminated and the rest all have a blank space where the light used to be. https://www.ebay.com/itm/133668804574?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1aEwgpD_VTIq6XwpwY7LHxg59&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=133668804574&targetid=1644837435723&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=9014393&poi=&campaignid=16743749222&mkgroupid=138744546207&rlsatarget=pla-1644837435723&abcId=9300842&merchantid=8025654&gclid=Cj0KCQjw4uaUBhC8ARIsANUuDjW2_5oESJzO7Ix2pTp0Y81VEfxUPU-cgusTUCaXl5cMapsYd769NUwaAkuGEALw_wcB |
Title: Re: '96 Speedometer type Post by TheSneeze on 06/03/22 at 16:45:20 Here is an '87 speedometer next to a newer year ('87 on the left). I have no idea if they had more than two types, but the difference in these is one turn indicator or two (a left and right), and a neutral light on the bezel, and the neutral light and side stand in the gage face. Hope this helps. |
