If you supported an action
It gets challenged, no, Destroyed by logic
And you Don't rearrange Your Thinking to align with Reality

Isn't part of the problem the global supply chain efficiencies?

For instance it's cheaper and more efficient, even eco-friendlier to ship a barrel from NY to LA on a boat than it is to truck it across the US. A lot of it has to do with volume though.

At the end of the day the barrels still have to be brought inland in some way so it appears any shipping savings is still mitigated by end destination.
