Title: A Supreme Court out of control Post by eau de sauvage on 03/26/22 at 00:23:15 A tranche of text message recently ordered to be released by the Supreme Court with only Clarence Thomas dissenting, turned out to be messages from Clarence Thomas' wife Virginia to Mark Meadows, 29 texts in all urging Meadows in hysterical terms to overturn the election. Clarence Thomas did not recuse himself from this and we don't know if he knew about his wife's fervid urgings to Meadows. But anyone whose been married for 30 years whose wife is hysterically motivated about something can guess where or not her husband may be aware. He does not have to recuse himself because unlike the rest of the Judiciary there are no ethics rules for scotus. Effectively they can behave however they like with no one above them to say otherwise. Clarence Thomas was also one of the three Judges who dissented in a case bought before them by the army regarding whether a soldier has to follow orders to take a vaccine, or whether they have religious exemption. The majority decided that the supreme court cannot insert themselves into the military chain of command and place themselves above the Commander in Chief, i.e. the President.
