Title: spark plug terminal?
Post by acr924 on 03/20/22 at 18:30:43

hey all, new member, thanks in advance for any help.

I went to change my spark plug and the one i removed had a screw on terminal end. Any bike I’ve owned before just had the plug wire snap into the threaded end of the plug. Not sure if this is normal or if someone hacked this up prior to me owning it. Inside the plug wire end it looks like some of the metal tabs might be broken (they do not complete a circle).

Hopefully this makes sense, and apologies if anything like this is out there I couldn’t find. Again, thanks!

Some spark plugs have a screw-on cap that goes on the terminal so it can be used with the two types of caps that are in use. Check to see if you can screw off the metal cap and install that on your new plug.
