I have been looking at American issues, mostly. Brexit, I followed that, but Ukraine, Russia? Sure, I know, there is bad stuff going on.. I don't have a good memory for things that are not In my life. And I don't know much about why this is happening Now.
I just stumbled across an article and I don't remember any of this. But then, I was working long hours and raising a kid. So,here's a link.
No, I'm not fact checking it. I'm not saying it's accurate. I'm tossing this out to see what everyone thinks and what should we do?

I remember hearing we were guarding their nukes, but that was a long time ago........

If you read that, it says we negotiated a deal that defanged Ukraine, and promised protection.

But, let's agree it's true.
Why hasn't Washington or someone mentioned this?
And
Now what should America do?

mode.
If we win
What do we win?
If we don't honor our word
How does that reflect on America on the world stage?
And having vowed to defend Ukraine, how is it that the president gave a green light for a minor incursion into Ukraine.
That did happen, right?
That's a bit like a rapist not sticking it all the way in,innit?

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, we went in to make sure the nukes weren't going to be stolen. IIRC, a couple were unaccounted for. Regardless, it was not to offer support indefinitely.
