In NYC, a 16 year old (convicted of one gun offense previously) shoots a cop and is able to post a $250k bail. He’s returning to his career in rap.

In LA, a 26 year old man is sentenced for sexually assaulting a 10 year old a couple years before. When arrested, he of course is a man, but before sentencing, he now declares he’s a woman and is sentenced to two years in a FEMALE JUVENILE detention center.

This is misleading. The 26 year old man assaulted a child 9 years before not "a couple" of years before. This also assumes he transitioned while in custody between arrest and sentencing.

Since the DA never transferred the case to adult criminal court the current sentencing must, by law, be carried through the juvenile system.

So a 26 year old male who assaulted a 10 year old when he was 17 is now in isolation at a female juvenile detention center. It's not appropriate, but it also doesn't do any good to make it sound like a 24 year old male assaulted a 10 year old and then was sent to a female juvenile detention center.

Yea, I saw that. It’s a good thing California’s got amazing weather and, at least right now, unbelievable coastal views. Otherwise, it would be a Third World country.
