More than three-quarters of the civilian deaths during the four year war against ISIS in Iraq and Syria have occurred since Trump took office, according to data released by the Combined Joint Task Force for Operation Inherent Resolve.

A total of 831 civilians have been "unintentionally killed" over the period, according to the coalition.

When shown footage of a drone strike in Syria by the CIA, Trump reportedly asked officials why the agency didn't kill the target's entire family, the Washington Post reported Thursday

Trump, watching a recording of the strike, bristled at an attempt to minimize civilian casualties.

As he watched the attack unfold, he questioned why the strike didn't take place until the target was outside of his family's home.

"Why did you wait?" he asked.
