Hello. Happy new year [ch127881].
I have 2008 S40. Someone is selling old style handlebar( 86-04) for $25. Please let me know if I change old style bar what is pro and con and if I need new throttle & clutch cables or not.
Thank you

I did the opposite swap on mine, buckhorns to drag bars. The cables and brake hose still fit with no issues going that way.

You are doing the reverse so I can't say for sure that you won't need the cables for the buckhorn model. You will need to use the short risers for the buckhorns though or none of the cables, wiring, and hoses will reach. The brake master cylinder is slightly different for the two bar types too, so you might have to swap the master cylinder type to match the buckhorns for the hose to reach.
