The "tyranny" the founders were anticipating was one of attack from foreign powers. They wanted a volunteer military rather than a paid one, and so wanted an armed organized militia. This is no longer applicable. The closest we've come to a tyrannical overthrow, is the recent 1/6 21 attack on Congress and Trump's simultaneous efforts to influence the military and DOJ ... fueled by 2nd amendment supporters. This is the opposite of the founders intent. Fortunately, our military leaders stood up for the Constitution and did not submit to the tyrant.

You are100% incorrect in your assessment of Why the second amendment exists. If you would read the documents prior to the constitution and then the constitution you would discover they had No faith in the government they created lasting and not becoming tyrannical. A Republic,if you can keep it. The constitution will not work for an immoral people.
