I’m fine with The Donald starting his own entertainment company. My guess is it will limp along but ultimately fade out.

Just don’t run for President again. You played your part. You’re the only one who could have beaten Hilary buy you’re the only one who could have lost to Puddinhead.

He needs the Presidency for the executive privilege.

My understanding is he doesn't need to be President to claim Executive privilege. Kind of like when a CEO loses his job and the company still allows him to use all the executive jets, bathrooms, cars etc. That's how it works right?

Reports I've seen say that the privilege goes with the office, not the person,... so,.. while it could be applied to Trump, it would be at Biden's discretion based on what Biden determines to be privileged conversation.

Definitely not to cover up crimes or insurrection or not likely Trump's actions during the siege of the Capital.

Trump was president on January 6 so I assume there’s a certain level of executive privilege that is retained even after he left office. How far that extends I don’t know. Otherwise, after they’ve left office, Presidents would be hounded forever by Partisan politicians looking to score points against the previous presidents’s political party or as is the case now, to divert attention from the train wreck going on currently in the White House.

Just an FYI, there was no siege of the Capitol.
