Title: A few questions Post by MaconMan77 on 09/08/21 at 19:36:13 I just got a 2000 ls650 with under 14k miles and have been doing some research. What causes the cam chain tensioner to fully extend, chain stretching? The versy mod just a band aid, or longer term fix? When does the chain usually need replacement and do I have to pull the engine to do it? Anyone have a good link for a dependable speedo cable o ring? |

chain stretching and some wear of the chain guides. Quote:
Long term fix but it doesn't eliminate replacing the chain at some point. Quote:
depends on how you use the bike, long rides will give you long chain life. Short rides, short life. Quote:

we just generally use a standard o-ring. the speedo seal is available, but I don't remember where. |
