Title: Ls650 stalls sometimes when warm
Post by krdsrl on 09/08/21 at 11:44:26

Hello, my name is Raul and I have a '89 Savage.
Unfortunately I have a weird issue, when the engine is warm it often stalls, but after some ride it somehow works just right again. After that, sometimes it starts jumping while riding (like is there isn't enough fuel in the tank), and stalls again. That times fumes come out from the exhaust. Then it is good again.
What can cause this issue? Is there any kind of dirt in the fuel or it could be the petcock?

I hope I am understandable.

The petcock is notorious for odd problems. That one is old. I would get a Genuine Yamaha petcock, can't remember the exact number, but don't get a fifteen dollar one online. It has to be manufactured by Yamaha. Eliminate that variable and see how it goes.
